Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

I just realized, my card is an ATI, and the program works fine! I have the most recent drivers. It is a Radeon X300 SE (shut up ; ;), so maybe that will give other ATI card users hope when it comes to Ewh ^^

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

Just found out about this program not to long ago from some others at the Windower site. I took the time (5 minutes) to translate the program to English.

http://home.comcast.net/~wiccaan/ffxi/ewhModelDX92m.rar

Enjoy.

(Yes I know I have 1 post, if you dont trust the file, scan it. I only used ResHacker to edit the text and just saved it and uploaded. Scan if you dont believe me.)

Im about to do Dynamis-Xarcabard right now. After that I can translate the other if you want.

Strange though, both work for me. Dont know exactly what the diffrence is in them. Maybe drivers or something..

nah, I know what the things mean. Japanese tend to make their stuff fairly straight forward.

Make sure you have wiccaans .exe in the same place as the List folder

No, I mean the 2m .exe in general doesn't work for me, only 5k, or whatever.

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

I dont understand why some ATi users are getting errors, after i installed the fake reg everything works well, like i said it performs 200% better than the actuall game.

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

Sorry for bumping this so far, but i can get mine open and it shows a hume standing. I can change the races. But when i go to say change it from idle to walking or load a map the character goes away and im just left with the backround color of the screen. Ive read thru all over and cant seem to find a answer.

Edit: i got it to work :D

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

Geez yours looks good compared to mine. Mines also super laggy. >_>

As for the no map loading, clicking random shit seemed to fix it for me. O_o lol

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

ok i got mine to work and i'm running an ATI 9600

I ran the pol registry thing that was put up for download here then i tried runing it and all i got was a black screen really fast and it disapeared so i checked my registry and it was because it was set for C: and my FFXI is installed in D: all i did was change the directory and it worked.

you can find it at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Playonline

not PlayonlineUS just Playonline if you dont have it you need it in order for it to work

Hmm. Same thing happening for me, yet my directories and lists are fine. Window pops up, black screen, and then it closes. I backed up my PlayOnlineEU registry and changed it to the PlayOnline one.

Do I need this "Area.lst"?

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

In case anyone here hasn't found it, there is a thread on the windower forums where they are trying to get it to work.

I have an Mobility ATI X1600 and got this program running just fine.

There is a quick guide near the end of it.
