Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

Check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE and you should find PlayOnlineUS. My question though is how do you copy and paste on the registry Editor?

Double Post Edited:
Ok Ive got it to work somewhat more than I ever did, however......

It crashes.

I have it in PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI. Can someone find out if thats the right place to have it? Or what causes it to crash?

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

crashing only happens for me when I transplanted my Eng.model viewer NPC list, and hovered over one of the 'placeholder' slots.

So most likely, it's trying to load a model that it can't find.

I got it to work but its crashing on me like right at the start..its giving me that send error report message.

Edit: So would it work if you put a JP model viewer list in?

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

Englists work, you just have to take out the parts that look like:

3 0 0 -------------
3 0 0 CoP Stuff
3 0 0 -------------

etc.

I would replace all the lists, but i'm not sure which one is which, since only NPC and Area have english file names

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

The whole thing.. When I try to extract the file it says it's invalid or corrupted..Downloads fine..then when its on computer it says it's 1 KB and when I try to open it it just gives me an error of it being invalid. Here I'm gonna take a pic of the error:

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

my current theory: requires east asian language support.

And Hy, sorry I logged off AIM all of a sudden. Crashed trying to load both viewers at once. Was a pain to boot back up, my PC went all LSD on me.

Re: Area DAT Extractor...exists?!

Heh i think i still wont mess around with my reg >.>. Heh windows cant seem to be able to handle it well event wen it not corrupted by human hands :p

Aww boo i caved in lol. Problem is that that reg file archive up there was renamed to .zip, but it was originaly a .rar file, so rename it as such and open it with winrar.

After i ran the prog i have to say i am Very dissapointed by the performance. i.e it runs a million times better than the actuall game WITH SELF CASTING SHADOWS!. Ill post pics later but as it is i was running the prog at 200-300 fps in all the setting maxed in a normal area. Wish Se would use actually hardware acceleration, i dont care if they cap the fps to 30, but at least it should never drop bellow 30 on crowded places for me -.-

Im having problems trying to figure out the on screen controls... why is it so hard for developers to find use for the arrow keys on a keyboard <.<...i think its a Jp thing -.-
