I uploaded two pics:
Notice the difference in color rather than brightness, i didnt touch brightness, just saturation. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-28-2005, 06:47 AM | #17 (permalink) | | Veteran Member Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Sep 2003 Location: Charleston, SC Posts: 1,589 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 76 Thanked 48x in 36 Posts Gil: 7,960 Bank: 1,428 Total Gil: 9,388 Donate | Re: been playing around with my taru /check it out :p I still think it's really too blue for my tastes... it's too "animeish" without the highlighting >.> -Baka Inu!

If you want to turn it blue, you should just play with the saturation effects, and the hue, that way it changes the pre-made shading that's already in the game, and therefor it'll look more natural.
I have no idea what i'm doing with model editing, but, I do alot of photoshop work >.> -Baka Inu!

If you want everything to have the same general color but keep the shading, Colorize is better than Hue/Saturation/Light. You don't lose shading when you Colorize, you lose color information, which is generally ok since the only reason you'd Colorize is to change the color information anyway. Ryadbraman

Subtle variations in color can add more dimensionality to what you're doing, but some colors actually look the same tone of gray when you take the color out completely. That means the subtle variations will be lost if they're all colorized to the same color. So there can be a loss in depth by simply colorization alone, but that's not always the case. Generally it's safer to use hue/saturation if you're looking to maintain the quality of depth. In something that is already pretty much monochromatic to begin with it doesn't make much of a difference. But if you colorize something and experience a loss of depth, sometimes Auto Levels can take care of that. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
