Well, I finally jumped into the madness... hehe... there was a request on the FFXI Mod Community for this one, and I thought it would be easy enough as a first mod. Anyway, here's the final result. Comments welcome!

ps. This uses the rather skimpy thong Hume Shorts mod as the base, just in case you think your girl is missing some cloth.

That looks great, i really want to see a vermillian colored that color blue ,yet keeping the yellow in the middle, i would change all blm af to it hehe i hate blm af1

That's probably one of my irks withs how SE did the Ribbons, seeing that female Hume model with it. That's kind of how I think they should of done the ribbons when a female model wears it.

Just change it for each female model, for example I think the humes look good with the ribbon in back like that. For the Mithra's heck make the change add the ribbon tied to their tail, the one image I saw of that looked nice. For the Elvaan place a bow like were the corsage goes. The tarutaru with bow ribbons will be even more of an overkill to their cuteness too.

EDIT:

Question I just wonder to answer something for me. On items like Ribbons it isn't specific in the .dat files were everyone of that race would have the item display the same is it? Like if the ribbons were changed to bows for female models would the male models have the same visual change?

Never messed with the models so of course don't know the specifics of how the models are effected from the .dat changes.

Basically are the .dats specifics like say one .dat will be for Hume M Face 1A and another .dat will be for Hume M Face 2A and so on? or is it one .dat for Hume M and F? or one .dat for Hume M any face and another .dat for Hume F any face?

From what I've seen it seems the .dats in the game are very specific so for a corsage there would be 64 different .dats to cover all the female models and faces??

Not at all, The dats for everythign are placed in a specific spot. So If I wanted I could take anythign and move it anywhere. I could move the whole model up (would require 5 parts) where it looked like you hovered up off the ground. But your really woudlnt' be, The model woudl be in the air, but you would still be bound to the ground of course and your camera would be in the same spot. I could Even if I really wanted to likely Make it look like there are 2 of you walking side by side. (Note I haven't tried something like that but I think it would be easily possible. Ofcourse it would be reallly hard to walk like that since you woudlnt' exactly know where you are centered.)

Basicly for that ribbon, you just replace it with whatever you want, and then its positoned on that spot, for every single Face. But you would want it in a position that would Look good on all of them.

Take my Bow&Quiver mod for example, you can wear any armor or anything, and the quiver stays. Its because its attached to the bow, but its made like its stuck to the back (by changing skeleton weight in vrs). So, no you would only have to Make 1 dat mod for each race. But stuff like that, can easily be ported over in VRS race->race.

Hope that helps
