April 20th is the JP and EU date, I recall it will hit the US on the 18th. Because the 18th is the official XBox 360 FFXI release.

If you check the updates page you will see there have been 7 updates so far. Who wants to download the origonal + 7 individual update rars? For anyone except 56k users (which need to get with the program), the file is a quick download still. Maybe if it reaches the point of actually being a large download, starting a new collection to regularly update might be in order, but right now the size is fine.

Same thing happens with America's Army. Rather than trying to download the numerous patches you missed, it is easier to just redownload the full current. It's not as efficient, but it is far easier and less time consuming for those us with decent net connections. The internet is not catered to the slowest connection.

Yes old news, but im still wondering. How can it be efficient when you have to look up the updated parts of the dat collection, and then extract them one by one to your dat folder? Maybe this method is just good for people who only extract the .dat's they want anyway. I just like having all .dat's in a folder, because that's easier when using them, you can make subfolders and stuff.

Well, that's why I included the Update.TXT separately, Bootrot... So you wouldn't HAVE to "hope there's something good inside", and instead just read to see if there is.

Sometimes I think everyone in Dreams is TOO informative. Seems like we're all making people lazy now.

EXAMPLE: Someone created a thread about the Bronze Box quest not too long ago. 3 people all posted an answer within like 5 minutes of the post. lol I mean come on, all I did was type Bronze Box into the item search for somepage and poof, theres the quest link.

Don't get me wrong, I adore Dreams and thank god every day it's not the drama hole that KI is, and I wouldn't change anything. BUT, I think the greatest aspect but also the worst of Dreams is how helpful all the senior members are. I think to a certain degree we subconciously encourage complacency when it comes to research of any kind concerning this game because we're all so knowledgable and eager to help.

And it said the collection was a version I didn't have, so I downloaded it... and it was the version I already had... so I waited a few hours and tried again...
