well i extracted everything with model viewer, then the main BMP i extraced using POLutils and replaced the model viewer's BMP with that one, then i was happily editing this BMP in anyway i wanted not having any problems after converting with the GC3

I dont understand how you extract the .BMP with POLutis. It says nothing anywhere about extracting, for the face... totally confused.

I had a huge question... I'm trying to edit the DATs for my ps2, followed every instruction but I'm having a huge problem, the ps2 HDD is not FAT32 or NTSF so windows XP will not read it... however.. programs like winHIIP read it, I can't use that to edit my files thou... is there any program that allows me to use my ps2 hard drive and extract or put these files into the ps2...? an image program or something.. I'm really desperate to edit my ps2 files > <... it's already in slave status.. checked and rechecked... please help me out tazirai ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Open polutils and click the FFXI data browser option.

On the next screen, expand the Final Fantasy XI folder, locate your file, when the picture displays on the right, right click it and choose Save as... thar ya goes.

Hmm I havent triedit under XP yet so dont know what effect it will have trying to run it there.
I have run it under win98, sinceto me its better than xp for alot of things.mainly running my old dos programs and such. The XP compatibility program sucks. Ill install it on my secondary machine and see what I can do to help you out or trouble shoot it, but it will be at least sunday before I can get to it.

Ok guys for everyone looking to install their PS2 HDD into their PC Heres what you need that I forgot to tell you all about.

This is the program that allows your pc to "see" the ps2 Hdd after you follow the instructions laid out previously, I havent had tiem to mess around with my ps2 hdd in a long time.
