I know that DRKs ACC sucks... Really sucks... Its an E as a skill compared to their Scyth Skill which is an A+. I have been using a Crossbow since Level 1 on Drk, and it is great for dealing damage before even engaging the mob. (Can usually get 2 shots off before the mob even gets near me). But as I rached level 11, I noticed the ACC started to really suck (Marksmanship is maxed until lvl 40 thanks to Thf). Now... When I hit lvl 15, I want to use Acid Bolts to help the parties kill faster, and to help with Solo Play. With a horrible Marksmenship skill, I will need to use RaCC Gear.

But before I invest money into Acid Bolts, and Acc Gear, would it even be worth it, just for the use of Acid Bolts? If not, I will just keep the level 1 bolt for pulling when needed.

Acid Bolts are dirt cheap, its not really even an expense to worry about in contrast to food. And really, if you can't get the first one or two off, its not worth spending the rest of the fight trying to land it as a DRK, so don't sweat it too much.

If you have a RNG sub available, you can actually make good use of it in the 20s and 30s, but I would suggest making a small investment in the bone-type ranged accuracy rings (Bone, Beetle, Scorpion, etc) along with other ranged accuracy gear and switch them back to a standard accuracy ring or melee ring before you start swinging at a mob again. At low levels your skill rating isn't going to hurt you as much, so make the best use of it you can then.

You may also wish to consider just levelling RNG for a bit, it would help you with levelling your marksmanship skill quite dramatically over trying to do it on DRK. And the Accuracy Bonus traits are nice.

Nah they aren't real expensive, even the HQ versions aren't that much more expensive than the NQ version at lower levels. I think I got 2 Bone Ring +1s for 3k each on my server and Beetle +1 were between 3-5k IIRC. I'm not sure about higher levels though, that'll probably where you start seeing the gap between HQ and NQ prices start to grow. I was testing out Bloody Bolts on mobs this one day and that was really sexy for soloing....until I got accuracy down'd by a worm

Yea. Bloody bolts are the ezpensive ones. I am tryin gto get it so that i can craft them, but I got tired of crafting lol.

i may just grab a stack here and there for when my Drain is Down, and I need Hp to help keep the healers Mp at a good level.

Unless the market for Bloody Bolt Heads is cheap, I wouldn't recommend leveling woodworking to do it. Unless you do something crazy like I did and level woodworking to HQ3 tier (69 for Status Bolts) and then level alchemy to 81. Quick Math Version:

Bloody Bolt Heads on my server cost 80k/stack

Beastman Blood around 25k/stack
Revival Tree Roots 10-15k/stack
Bronze Ingots 3k/stack (On a good day)
Wind Crystals 700g/stack

So the total cost would be at the most about 90k. If you're lucky and don't lose any materials from crafting that'll give you 144 Bolt Heads which if you had HQ3 tier woodworking and were lucky could translate to about 5 1/2-7 Stacks of Bloody Bolt quivers (Quiver = 12 Bloody Bolt Stacks (1188 bolts))

That is what i was doing. 60 Alchemy atm! :D Still got some ways to go lol. I may just stop though since FFXIV will be coming out soon. I haven't gotten any will to actually lvl alchemy or WW any more lol

Also... The bronze Ingots... You can buy those off Npcs cheaply. I've gotten them for 1.5k a stack off Guild NPCs lol

Yeah you can. I always check the Guild first but the last few times I've made them, they were cheaper at the AH. I know a couple of times I got them at the cheapest price around 60g each at the guild.

... Damn... Wish when I did my crafting they where that cheap lol.

Also the marksmen ring at 40 from royal jellies can last you awhile with +6 racc and no - acc. It goes for 3k on bahamut and that is only because it npcs for that price. It is really common drop though I get one everytime I run it.
