Let me give a little background on my dilemma. My current "haste" build for drk brings me to 13% with dusk gloves, wyvern earing and wal. turban. I was eager to try this out and have had some success with this, but of course I have to /drg and for merits, only a few camps are really worth the setup.
Since then, I have taken taken sam to 37 and I think its the greatest thing ever. The sub is just nuts. However, I find myself using seigan almost all the time, so I can just go to town and rarely take dmg. I use /sam most of the time now, and here lies my question.
Hasso gives 5% haste, so -if- i wore my wal. turban and dusk gloves I'd be back at 13% haste again. However, since I rarely use hasso, I have been wearing Adaman Celata, either my minuet earing (with brd in party) or a coral earing, and dusk gloves (because I dont have anything better).
So.. Ive been wondering two things:
1) is it worth trying to keep the 13% "haste" setup as /sam, even though I wont be on hasso as much?
2) Ive been looking into getting Black Galdings for my hands slot for /sam (cant stant the way tarsqe mitts look) what would you, as a drk, be willing to pay for these? (last sale on my server was 800,000) | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 08-20-2007, 09:49 AM | #2 (permalink) | | Shikaree N Join Date: Jul 2004 Posts: 689 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 34 Thanked 41x in 26 Posts Gil: 6,879 Bank: 20,313 Total Gil: 27,192 Donate | Re: gear question Well I dunno about that other stuff since I don't have a drk that high, but I do know that hasso gives 10% *melee* haste, not 5%, so that's 5% more haste to account for. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 08-20-2007, 10:00 AM | #3 (permalink) | | Alone Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Jul 2005 Location: Boston Posts: 3,145 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 251 Thanked 295x in 206 Posts Gil: 15,012 Bank: 21,106 Total Gil: 36,118 Donate | Re: gear question Originally Posted by Brayden | Greetings,

OK hasso is 10% i made the mistake before, so you actually gain haste. 10% v 5% but... you lose 5% on cast times.
Drk/Sam
tp set
Head-> W Turban (5%)
Neck -> Pcc Or C Chain
Body -> Homam / Hauberk / Hauby
hands -> Dusk gloves (3%)
earrings -> Ethereal + Brutal / Fowling + Assault
back -> Foragers / Amenet +1
waist -> Swift Belt (4%)
Legs -> Homam (3%) / Barb Zerhs (3%) / Black Cuisses / Any acc piece
Feet -> Homam (3%) / Dusk (2%) / any acc piece
Rings -> Snipers or woods x2
Hasso up => 10% ~With the homam ~
> 28% delay reduction (with hasso up)
> +150 hp
> +115 mp
> +47 acc
> +26 racc (lol)
> +46 Att
> +5 eva
> +3 Str
> -10 Def (not adding up gear sets def)
> +50 Wyvern hp (LOL)
> 2.5% Triple attack rate
> Decreased Movement Speed
> Convert 3% of damage taken into Mp
> 5% Double Attack Rate
> Fast Cast (-3% on cast -1.5% recast)
> meditate (60 tp every 3 min)
> Hasso (10% reduction to delay, 10 acc, 5 str)
> Store Tp 16%
W/o homam or barb's ~> 24% delay reduction
> will update later
In a tp burn you should atleast be able to keep hasso up until you ws your first time, then seigan third eye. Last edited by Sevv : 08-20-2007 at 10:37 AM. I see some more testing is in order for me to finely hone the use of hasso/seigan. It'll save me a crap load of gil for sure.. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 08-20-2007, 11:52 AM | #9 (permalink) | | Alone Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Jul 2005 Location: Boston Posts: 3,145 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 251 Thanked 295x in 206 Posts Gil: 15,012 Bank: 21,106 Total Gil: 36,118 Donate | Re: gear question Originally Posted by Brayden | | Ah, I was also misinformed about Hasso, 10% is pretty beefy- so to speak. Ya as well as the acc boost its great. You can keep hasso up most of the time switching out for seigan third eye when needed. Btw if you didn't know cast spells when seigan is up... | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
