Anyway, as the title says, I got a question about Weapon Skill damage and skill levels.
First, WS question. I am using random numbers and levels, but the questions are "in general" questions. If I have 179% TP will I do more dmg than at 121% TP? Or does it only change at each 100% level? And if there is a difference, is it even noticable?
Second, skill level question. This is similar to the WS question. Will I do more dmg at lvl 81 (skill level) than I will at 76. Or does the dmg you do, with your weapon or with magic, only get stronger when your job levels up? If you go to your WS list and just more your cursor around it'll tell you details about your TP. So for things like Viper Bite, more TP means a longer poison duration from the WS. However for things like Spirits Within more TP means more DMG because TP is a modifier on your HP so withh 300% TP you'll be do DMG porpotional to 50% of your HP, less TP less DMG porpotional to your HP.
In response to your second question, indirectly I think you will because with each skill lvl your ATK raises by a margin, so it affects it. However as you lvl you start to ditch low lvl WS and just using the latest WS either for SC purposes or for DMG purposes. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-02-2006, 05:51 AM | #3 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 944 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 236 Thanked 69x in 61 Posts Gil: 1,828 Bank: 83,014 Total Gil: 84,842 Donate | Re: WS dmg and Skill Level There should be posts for WS damage testing or calculation somewhere.

Everyone just talks about 100%, 200%, 300% (NICE EVEN ROUND NUMBERS out of convenience to be sure, but just how convenient because you can never get a flat 100 or even 200 all the time - only at 300% are you assured of this due to cap) | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
