Some questions Concerning Dark Knight, and Gear....best options.

Okay, so maybe my fellow Dark Knights can help me answer these questions. After perusing these forums, I have come up with first of all, the most important question.

Stats: Agi, Vit, Str, Dex Etc.....

Many people believe the direct results of these stats, I.E., Accuracy, Evasion, Attack and Defense are much more important then a stat boost itself.

I have heard as much as 3 Dex=1 pt of accuracy or whatnot.

Sooo, let me ask this. Is there a confirmable chart detailing ANY Of this? Or does anyone have exact figures? Because having this kind of information would be a HUGE boon while seeking out new equipment. Especially for a Dark Knight. I figure Accuracy would be the biggest asset, with Attack following shortly thereafter, regardless of race.

Beyond that, stat increasing gear is prolly the best idea I am thinking.

Secondly, as a Dark Knight goes up in levels, they get more and more access to spells. The problem I am coming across, is MAXING, or rather, Capping the skills dealing with these spells. At level 12 the level cap for Dark magic is 39....and I am at....14?

Jeebus it's taking me FOREVER to raise those caps. Anyone have an idea of how I can quickly upp those caps??? Help is appreciated.

My Eternal Thanks,

Draconis

i dont think there is a chart that shows the relationships between stats and the skill points. but the stat points have more bonuses then the individual skills points like evasion, attack etc.. so the stat points itself have more uses then some people may think. also, i believe the stat to skill ratio is 2:1 not 3:1. and for magic, just think of your magic as your main priority. whe ni pt, i always pull with poison, then cast bio when i pull successfully. then during the fight i cast a drain follwed by an aspir. i reached my dark magic cap by this method and am currently lving my emfeebling magic

i really need aspir... lol. so hard lvling my drk magic. 92 at lvl 41, anyone know what the cap is?
well... the thing is, all those invisible stats, i.e. accuracy, evasion, criticals, are invisible, so there is no way what the stats are. true the 2str=1attack, but you can ASSUME that 2dex=1acc. it's not proven. if you say it that way, then 2dex=1 to crit but who the hell knows...

Trust me just like your scythe skill will not max till you can PT and fight IT mobs your magic will raise.

True that the stat ratio are 2:1. BUT even though ACC raises acc more than dex, DEX still has bonuses over ACC. PPL will tell you diff but how much sense does it make to put 2 things in the game that boost the same stat, but name them different.

keeping dark magic maxed will no longer be an issue once you get stun

in lving up caps, try this.

after lv 20, go to qufim an fight clippers.

cast bio, drain, kill enemy
pull with aspir, cast bio, drain, kill
pull with aspir, cast bio, drain, kill
med when u need to, and repeat

got me from 30-60 in two days.

at first, aspir won't work great, but when you lv up your drk skill, it rakes in good MP. i get 30-50MP from clippers at qufim lv 24.

it's really not that hard and should be going up easily if you just keep casting.

regarding enfeebling cap, i pull with poison, bind if i feel like it >.<

regarding elemental cap, try casting stone in between your swings, if your party is nice, they will allow you to spend time on upping your caps. i did about 5-8 stones per fight and i can get a skillup in elemental easily. you can get 1 skillup per fight if you do stones aplenty

but all you really need is drk magic to be maxed. enfeeb and elemental magic are nice, but not needed.

its not that bad at first, MBing is what you use your magic for mostly at low levels. drain and aspir for darkness, status magic will always be very low, never at cap, unless you've got rdm leveled up already. around 40s you will easily cap darkness with the absorption series. elemental will still fall behind if you awnt use it in MB but often it will get resisted, leaving only darkness to be the real useful skill, it will always be capped along with your scythe, although a bit slower, at higher levels. unless your doing something wrong

well of course the +accuracy would add more accuracy then +dex, it would only make sense if it were so. but im saying that the stats add more bonuses then some people think and in my humble opinion, i think elemental magic is a waste of time, it may sound fun but at higer lvs you waste alot of mp which couldve been used for a drain or something. and there are black mages for that same reason so i think its pretty useless, nice to have fun with at while you have the chance

elemental magic a waste? :p hehe, i like doing magic bursts. but it only works if i don't get interrupted  dark magic skill is easy to raise. drain, aspir, absorb-vit [for when the dam thf trick attacks on me  ] enfeeble skills, go up like a madman when i use poison to pull beetles. and my elemental goes up when i magic burst. pretty useful when you're trying to kill as fast as you can for the exp chains.
as for the dex bonuses and stuff, accuracy is a lot better for a drk than dex. ..you might already notice when you miss it's a pain in the butt. :spin: dex is supposedly used to up thf sneak attacks but that i am unsure of. maybe awntawn can explain again :dead: . sOoooooo, to break it all down, if you're gonna spend money on equipment, look towards accuracy.
