DRK/NIN, amazing or just a single shot?

ive read all the post on the DRK clip topic but im still not sure if DRK/NIN is also an all day decent combination.

please help me out.

and my secound question.

which of these other combinations will be the best:

DRK/THF, THF/NIN, NIN/THF

no it sucks..only helpfull on that HNM besides that it sucks /war till 60

Awntawn has explained why NIN aint a good sub for DRK.

What you saw in that video was someone with what looked to be very rare weapons (probably HNM), combined with haste (bard), Darkness/Soul-eater, Last Resort probably as well, and the DRK 2hr ability (Blood Weapon) going to town.

Combine Last Resort + Darkness + dual weapons + haste, WITHOUT Blood Weapon, and you'll have one very, very dead, DRK. So what you saw was a great combo *once every 2 hours*.

And without all of those, you're stuck with a DRK using twin weapons that he/she is not very proficient with (think DRK has a C or D rating with 1h swords?), so you won't be all that great.

It was a snapshot of probably the best possible scenerio for a DRK/NIN. That's all.
We just don't want you to go DRK/NIN thinking you're going to plow through mobs like the person in the video did, because that *won't* be the case.

if you (initial poster) are refering to a decent combo, then drk/nin is decent.

many combinations are decent, drks enjoy a B rating with 1h swords, its not bad, but what most people will recommend is the scythe, because its the best possible choice (at the moment) for drks.

If you're out to have fun, sure a drk/nin deals decent damage, is fun/cool, some basic ninjutsu, your black magic spells, you're not gonna be a gimp or anything.

you just won't be doing as much dmg as a drk spamming guillotine. in fact you'll be doing much less, but you'll be far from useless. just don't expect to get into PTs as well, but if you plan to PT with friends/ LS members who just wanna have fun messing around and having a goodtime, go with what you enjoy.

Why do you even bother posting albert....I don't understand. Someone asks a question about which job combo that they want would work best, and you give them a new combination.

That's like me asking if Drk/Sam or Drk/War is better, and you saying "I think Smn/Whm would be best". Completely irrelevent.

I don't think anyone is suggesting using two 1-handed swords. Shouldn't a ninja sub give you the best dex you can get, and the ninjitsu blink should really help since darks have weak defense. I think that's what the author was getting at, not a dual wielding dark knight (why does everyone only focus on the dual wield aspect of ninjas?).

that's what i thoght too. with pvp in mind, wouldnt being a drk/nin be good? drk has low defense. using blink will stop damage alltogether , or at least for a time. also yes the dex factor is important. with the dex and blink im seeing a good combo here. i mean again with pvp in mind drk/nin would best drk/thf in my opinion because you get the same or better dex...i think dont yell at me if im off a bit.......and again blink.

dex is not that great as people think. if that was the case mithras would be god. the dex bonus from a sub is not why you pick a sub. and no, with pvp drk/nin would not be good.... but then again i don't even think pvp will be out, but who knows it might work.

Shouldn't a ninja sub give you the best dex you can get, and the ninjitsu blink should really help since darks have weak defense. I think that's what the author was getting at, not a dual wielding dark knight (why does everyone only focus on the dual wield aspect of ninjas?). Cometgreen
