Kumi! =D I forgot you wanted to be a DRK! =D

yeah it's great that Life Belt is cheap, and the Sniper Rings won't be that bad cause my LS is gonna do BCNM 40 like mad and get tons of Refreshes and Phalaxes to sell (which will make getting those damned rings cake)

Vargasso's Scyth on Midgard=500k =X

Lifebelt is the best belt out there for most melees. Accuracy is the first priority for equipment. It's the cheapest way to get +10 accuracy in the game, take advantage of it :D

Ideally, argus necklace (+10 acc, +10 ranged acc) is the best necklace, but considering it's price, san doria collar is justafiable with it's 6 def and +attack (+10 ranged accuracy from argus is useless on DRK as well). For other expensive equipments like hauberk, nothing else comes close. Also, argus isn't an HNM, it's a normal NM. If you want one of these, you either buy it or camp it. HNM LS's won't give them out (unlike hauberk and other things).

Basically, the most recent DRK-only scythe is the best way to go. High quality, considering it only has 1 extra D and just a little less delay, is a complete waste of money in my opinion. Use the money to buy more useful equipment :p

JSE Earrings are worthless

At the current cap of 70, the best scythes to use are dark scythe (level 65, D89) and Vassago scythe (Level 58, D84, Acc+5, HP-5%). Dark scythe is better in terms of damage due to it's being a higher level. Vassago scythe has +accuracy (not to mention looks hella sexy), so a lot of people still use it even at level 70. With the lower D and the HP penalty (Souleater does less damage if you have less HP, remember), however, I'd still prefer dark scythe if possible. In parties I carry dark scythe first, then I switch to vassago if I have difficulty hitting. The next cap will make vassago less desirable however (level 75 scythe will be available), and by the 80 cap I'm guessing it will be obsolete.

EDIT: Thanks for sticky :D

Yeah Dryn thats if you dumb and dont know how to gt the scythe for free.

My ideal setup at LVL 70 would be as Awn said is vassagos/dark.
Hauberk Sett of armor, with its ACC up and ATT up. Though the best helmet is the Darksteel Helm in terms of looks, that thing looks the most badass.
Then it would be the Rare earing with ACC+2 ATT+5(forget name), Mermans earing, 2 Sniper rings(no HQ yet i believe). Amemits Mantle +1 ATT+15. Sword belt+1/Life belt(depends on what im doingin party as far as missing). And yes last the peacock charm(lol will be fun getting this)

it was mentioned earlier that a DRK can be equiped with better defensive equipment so that they can take more hits (but this wouldn't necessarily make add the best stats for a "damage dealer")...

i was looking to make a more defensive DRK (so that i can take more hits). in addition to subbing as a WAR, can u list some possible equipment to look for across the various levels?..

also, Warriors have an ability that raises their defense and lowers their attack power. if i use use this WAR sub ability, couldn't i replace the lost attack power with STR drains? which stat controls "attack power"?...

note: this is all in the effort of preparing to do alittle soloing in case i run into alittle "downtime" between getting good groups. plus i dont wanna die as soon as i catch a little hate when grouping...
