Bad News: Dancer can't use Hornetneedle, so that was a big waste of my Sunday this week. DNC doesn't have access to Mercurial Kris either. Scholar can use Blau Dolch, but Dancer can't. No Store TP traits from main job.

The Awesome News: Dancer gets access to Joyeuse. Pahluwan Set and the various haste belts, too. Accuracy Bonus, Evasion Bonus, Subtle Blow. Looks like /SAM could really be something big at 60+

I figured Dancer wouldn't get Mercurial Kris, but Joyeuse? That came from left field. Its low sword skill will kinda hurt though.

Fuck, more competition. I better get the stupid thing soon.

Well, I finally got around to maxing my sword skill to level 8 last week and I've got my Suppanomimi anyway, so long as I strengthen my accuracy build a bit, it should be good.

Dancer also gets Dusk set, so I need to start putting some gil away for gloves and feet on that and may forgo Swift Belt on the waist for Life Belt as needed.

It does stink this tacks on another job to compete with for Joyeuse - particularly competition that may be able to justify it, unlike DRG and BRD - but I'm just happy to have another job that gets to play with it. Among the jobs remaining, I was looking possibly at PLD or THF since they could use it. Never shall I go down the dark path on RDM again /shudder.

I've been camping it for over a week now... can never get the ToD. Either it's the JP camping it, or no one's been touching him for the longest time. Either way I just wish my LS would come out and give me a hand as I can't take him on my own ><

I was honestly supprised at the type of gear dancer has gotten, like SH, amemet mantle and warwolf belt. I figured it might turn out to be something horrible like PUP where they expect us to get a nice ammount of TP/acc with mage gear so I'm incredibly happy my BLU gear will be useful. ^^

Dancer gear selection looks pretty weak, actually. I took a look last night and very few of the high-end daggers are available - particularly Blau Doch. Armors are skimpy too. There's a lot of holes in the gear for both Dancer and Scholar.

Hopefully this ends up like PUP and COR where the gear available gets expanded over time. BLU never really had as much of a problem as far as I can tell.

You can leave your character idle overnight in a safe place, but close enough to get a message when Charybdis dies. Turn on all chat filters except for that one. You can use the Conquest update message (which appears every hour) to know when she died. You won't know the ToD to the minute, but you'll know on which hour she died.

That's what I plan on doing to get my ToD.

That's what I plan on doing to get my ToD.

You don't need to know the exact timing on Charybdis anyway, since it's a lottery pop. Within 1 hour is more than enough information to go on to avoid wasting your time.

I've killed Charybdis about two dozen times over the years. It's just a matter of persistence and knowledge. Actually killing it doesn't really take that much firepower if you bring the right jobs.

P.S. You don't have your Joyeuse yet Armando? We need to fix that!

I hope to return home tomorrow, which means very long weekend of being able to play. I'll see if I can get ToD. I know a RDM that is willing to help me camp and kill it. Other than that I'm out of luck/help.
