I don't want to go through this campaign in play-by-post. It's not what I signed up for and it's a very different experience.

I'm willing to give it a try, but play-by-post isn't generally for me and that's not from lack of trying over the years.

Yes, I'm going to be cantankerous about this.

I want to say is that this session was the most fun and awesome session I have played with the group so far. Why is that? Because not only was the roleplay perfect and great for everyone's characters but because everyone had some moment that could be called a "Crowning Moment of Awesome" in the combat encounter that we had.

Vince (Cid) = Charging in alone and not only doing a good job of holding off the goblin forces as we fell back but also essentially dying and being revived and still fighting on.
Theron (Armando) = For pulling off a "You shall not pass!" moment that he not only survived but kicked major arse in.
Mezlo (Mezlo) = For basically turning into a one of the most ridiculously implausible snipers ever and fully pulling off the "Action Wizard" thing.
Lili (Firewind) = Colour Spray. Even though only one goblin failed the will save due to Yyg's crazy NPC rolls, she took someone out of the fight for 4 full rounds.
Jarre (Jarre) = For tanking the whole thing even though everyone else was running away behind him. Basically he was the only one who was there at the front and taking hit that we had no idea that he would survive.

Seriously I loved this session and hope that we have more like it. Fun roleplay and moments so awesome we know we will be talking about for a while is why I love D&D so much.

I'd like to apologise for my general lack of participation in the role play this session. There's still lots of stuff for me to do related to my move to Florida and my lack of graduation, so it's hard to go 6 hours without being distracted by my parents or fiancé. The lack of headset didn't help either. Things will probably be more stable by the next session.

I'm also super pumped to hit Cleric level 3. Now my Channel Energy heals for 2d6 and I have access to second level spells, including Cure Moderate Wounds (2d8+Caster level). It's not necessarily my most useful second-level spell, but I'm also going to have fun casting Early Judgment on my enemies before I knock them unconscious/kill them.

I'm not sure my actions were entirely in-character to be quite honest.

Either way next session I'm going to ask one of the spellcasters to use Detect Magic on my new armor to make sure Lord Oran didn't set me up with a cursed item. Seems like the kind of thing he might do because he thought it'd be funny.

I thought you could only put 1 skill point into a skill per level up?

The cap only goes up by one point per level, but if you don't haven't been putting ranks into it every level and start later you can do that.

Unless I'm wrong about that, in which case I'll probably need to redo some skill point allocation.

I'm already trying to think of new ways to exploit my new cloak with the 4 floating fireballs... Grease is flamable yes? I can summon the fireballs as a swift actiona nd then fire grease through one of the fireballs in the same turn making a flame thrower, couldn't I? Grease shoots how far? 30 feet? So I'd have a 3 foot flame thrower I could summon at will in 1 turn? That's kind of cool. What would the damage be Yyg? The fireball hits for 1d6, but this would be a fucking flame thrower. Hit for the same damage as scorching ray since it's basically the same thing?

The cap goes up by 1 point per level and you can allocate skill points as you like, otherwise classes like Rogues, Bards and Monks would be pretty screwed given the massive variety of skills they have as class skills, especially if they Multiclass.

Also Grease isn't flammable in 3rd Edition or Pathfinder: Grease - Pathfinder_OGC

Pathfinder also massively nerfed it but it still has uses since it's gone from "You win the encounter" to "Awesome if used right"

We still have lots of oil though.
