So, i don't think i understand tiers

I do know that at veteran rank it gives +3, b/c at 100 with +6 from gear and adv. synth support you can get tier 2 with HQ staves. Known a few ww'ers who do this for money and regularly hit the 25% HQ range.

Are you sure it isn't +1 gloves, +1 apron, +2 moghancement, +2 support? I've been wondering exactly how much my moghancement: cooking gives, but I've been too lazy to test it.

Furnishings only give +1. Regardless of elemental strength from what I understand.

I can confirm that furnishings give only +1 (unlike other crafters, we fishermen used to have the ability to test these things empirically, since we could tell from our fishing recast timers before the fishing system was changed).

i don't have any furniture, so that wasn't gimping my results either.

The GP furniture, when its the strongest in your MH, will give the moghancement for that craft. +1 nomatter how much elemental support you give it. Cooking also gets +1 skills from the two GP equipment, as well as the NIN only katana. So really, at 100 you can get level 107.

Has anyone else noticed that the 0% new moon days are alternating between iceday and firday forever now? check out http://ffxi.lokyst.net/timer2/crafttimer.html and project the next 1000 days or something.

The katana is +3, so if theories about guild support and moghancement strength are correct, it would be 109, which would be high enough to break the last tier on wizard cookies.

This has been true since the game was first started; it's not a new phenomenon.
