Lightbulb Cooking Guide 1-60 for mages

I know this has probably been stated before or not, I dont know. But this is a reliable guide for those that are leveling a mage job and have plenty of room in their inventory.
You should be able to buy all the materials needed at the Cooking guild, or else the Fishing guild if its a fish.

Note: this is not regarding how much gil you have because atm I have no access to the prices of the items.

Okay, here it is.

1-10: Orange Juice.
Water Crystal + Saruta Oranges x4
give 30 mp, with 1 mp per 2 sec for 1 min (not sure if this is right, kinda guessed with the time it lasts)

Pre-Synth for skill.
1-3 Carrot Broth
Water Crystal + San d'Orian Carrot x4

10-20 Apple Juice.
Water Crystal + Faerie Apples x4
gives 45 mp, with 1 mp per 3 sec for 2 min

Pre-Synth for skill
10-13 Sliced Cod
Wind Crystal + Tiger Cod x1

20-30 Pineapple Juice.
Water Crystal + Kazham Pineapplex2 (best place to buy them is in Kazham)
Gives 80 mp, with 1 mp per 3 seconds for 4 min

Pre-Synth for skill
20-24 Puls
Fire Crystal + Rye Flour x1 + Horo Flour x1 + Honey x1 + Distilled Water x1

30-40 Melon Juice.
Water Crystal + Watermelon x1 + Thundermelon x1
Gives 90 mp, 2 mp per 3 secs, for 2 min

Pre-Synth for skill
30-34 Black Bread
Fire Crystal + Distilled Water x1 + Rock Salt x1 + Rye Flour x1

40-50 Grape Juice.
Dark Crystal + San d'Orian Grapes x4
Gives 60 mp, 2mp per 3 sec, for 90 seconds

Pre-Synth for skill
40-43 Tomato Juice (this is the only odd drink that refreshes)
Water Crystal + Mithran Tomato x3 + Rock Salt x1
Gives 60 mp, 1mp per 3 secs, for 180 seconds

50-60 Yagudo Drink
Dark Crystal + Yagudo Cherry x1 + Buburimu Grape x3
Gives 120 mp, 2 mp per 3 sec for 180 seconds

Pre-Synth for skill
50-54 Carp Sushi
Dark Crystal + Rock Salt x1 + Tarutaru Rice x1 + Moat Carp x1

There's a pretty good one, & note that it's relatively good to farm your own crystals.
One of the best places for water crystals is at La Thein Plateau at the ponds.

If anyone has something to add to this, like a better or cheaper pre-synth, please post it.

Re: Guide 1-60 for mages

If you have BST leveled , sub it, and go to Beaucidine Glacier(sp?) . When it hits Dark weather, just use wide scan to find the elementals. I usually drag my RNG buddy along lol.

Water crystals are goo also in Pashhow Marshlands, near the out post.

Fire elemtals, sometimes in the dunes when ever the weather hits double fire.also in altepa east and west.

Lighting always in Delkfutt's Tower or Quifim Island. Or also Sanctuary of Zi'Tah, or Oldton Movopolis, also Konstach Highlands.

Earth elementals, can also be found in the dunes, Eldimie Necropolis, Both altepa deserts

Wind Elemental can be found in La'Theine Platue(sp?)

Ice Elemental can be found any where up north, mainly in Beaucidine Glacier around the ponds.

Light Elementals can be found in Quifim Island, Delkfutts Tower

If I missed any please feel free to add. As I at work at the moment thinking off the top of my head and doing other things. Hope this helps some.

Re: Guide 1-60 for mages

I took my cooking to 60 as well, just for juice, but I stuck to cheap NPC purchasable synths that had no more than a 2-3 level difference. That way I had fewer breaks, and didn't lose a ton of gil in the process either. Worked out well.

This path still works, but you're going to break a lot without image support.
