question about harvesting ... like, how?

hello there. i'd like to get into some harvesting and gathering to help along my clothcraft/weaving. though, i can't find any material to help me get started with harvesting ... like, exactly what i would be harvesting (tall grass, bushes, trees, rocks, monsters...) or what i'm harvesting with (a scythe, wich would be from the weapons section, or some seperate tool). i'm aware of collecting wind crystals and yagudo necklaces for synthing spools, but i wonder if i can do more than that in Giddius.

thank you for your time.

you harvest like grass thread, some vegetables, maybe some fruits, and you use a seperate tool, which is under misc near the pickaxes i think and there are "Harvesting Points" that you trade the Sickle item to i also recommend getting the harvest+ armor

ah, alright. i assume to get harvest points, is to actually engage in harvesting? and, the harvesting armor has it's own section in AH, or are they mixed in with the other armors?

Re: question about harvesting ... like, how?

theyre mixed with the other armors, the pieces youre looking for start with "Field", like, body piece is "Field Tunica", not all the 4 pieces (body hands legs feet) improve harvesting, so be sure to read the descriptions on the gear to see what you need to buy

Double Post Edited:
and no, +1 versions dont offer an increased boost, they just have higher defense, atleast thats what people say, i doubt anyone can confirm it with certainty though

Re: question about harvesting ... like, how?

There's no difference between normal Field armor and HQ Worker's armor aside from the higher defense and level 15 use limit.

One clarification: You don't trade the Sickle, you Use it from the menu. If you're smart you can create a macro that has /item "Sickle" <t> - this allows you to use the macro to harvest with once you have targetted a Harvesting Point.

Also, note that sickles can and will break from time to time - bring more than one; preferably at least a dozen. Otherwise you're not going to be harvesting for very long.

Re: question about harvesting ... like, how?

ah, thanks for the info. according to that map, there are very limited places to harvest ... i'd think there'd be more areas than that. ah well.

thanks for the info, everybody.
