hey Eriwilde would you tell me what the cooking tests are and what to do?
my cooking skill is at 10 and its maxed until i do the test
i went to the cooking guild but couldnt figure out what to do

Have you really carefully read my 'General Guides' on Guilds of my website?
Please read it through again.

Guilds


1. Are you really at the Culinarian Guild in Windurst Water?

2. If you are, could you find the person who seems to be the master of the Culinarian Guild?

3. If you could, have you talked to the Guild Master and asked him to join you in the Guild?

4. If you have, have you talked to the Guild Master after the first digit of your Guild Skill Level hit 8?

5. If you have, did the Guild Master give you the promotion test to cook 'Salmon Sand' ?i?uƒT?[ƒ‚ƒ“ƒTƒ“ƒh?v) in your case IN FRONT OF HIM?

6. Cook it IN FRONT OF HIM and trade it to him. (I mean, you have to bring the materials for the promotion test subject in the Guild before talking to the Master to give you the promotion test.)

7. You'll be promoted.

Couple of notes to point out - you do not have to make it in front of him (so you maybe even able to buy the item from the auction house and trade it to him - I havent tried this but if someone could get back to me).

Also the item requested is a ƒT?[ƒ‚ƒ“ƒTƒ“ƒh?@?|?@ƒTƒ“ƒh?@being short for ƒTƒ“ƒh‚¢‚¿.

Yeah, you don't actually have to make the item for the guild master. You can purchase it wherever you like and just trade it to him. I did

For those food that you make...Can you put the stats for it when you eat those food?

I know it's a big question to ask, but I always ended up eating something that's not proper for my job and had to wait for like an hour for it to go away:sweat: :sweat:

those are from in game experiences...

to skill up from 0~1 the best thing you can do is to purchase the ƒ„ƒO?[ƒh‚Ì?”Žì (dropped by the Yagudos) from the AH and make them into ‘?Ž…, which is needed in later on. i can't Lv up pass 1 using the ƒ„ƒO?[ƒh‚Ì?”Žì... so i begin to make ‘?•z by using 3 ‘?Ž…... the succeeding rate is rather high and that'll get your skill up to about 3~4. when you're almost to Lv4, you can start making ƒwƒbƒhƒMƒA, and that'll bring you to skill Lv5. at Lv5, you can either start making ƒP?[ƒv or –Ø–È•z, and that's gonna bring you pass the first rank. but to make –Ø–È•z is rather difficult, so upper support is recommended. making –Ø–È•z can get you to about skill 11.

you'll probably be tempted to make ƒ_ƒuƒŒƒbƒg, since it's a Lv11 body gear... but i have to warn you in advance that making ƒ_ƒuƒŒƒbƒg is rather expensive (high cost buying ƒTƒ‹ƒ^–È‰Ô [about 500 gil each], and you can only sell the ƒ_ƒuƒŒƒbƒg at about 1,000 gil)

I have a question if anyone doesn't mind asking; How much would it cost for me to skill up from 0-36 in the culinarian's guild, do you think?

I'm guessing at least 100k, but with some bad luck, maybe 150k+?

i have forgot how much I spend for culinarian. I'm currently is lvl 20 for the guild, but already spend for about 80 - 100k (maybe this is goldsmith one, lol)

just for advise, you might spend some time for look for which type of recipe is selling cheaper is which places

hmmmm, I'm stuck choosing a guild to do, do you think I should do:

Bonework
Weaving
Blacksmith

I want to eventually get it to the top lvl, but I will definetly only have time/money for 1. Currently I'm thinking that when I get to guild lvl cap, the blacksmith will give me most money (60+equips?), but I'm really not sure....does anyone know which of these would make the best money at guild skill cap?
