accurasy of gardening recipies?

Im just wondering how accurate gardening recipies are and how offten do they create the most optimal result?

say if i wanted Ceramic Flowerpot(pot)+ Tree Saplings(seed) + Lightning(day1) + Lightning(day2) = Lightning Ore 1
+ Water Cluster 2-3

will that allways gain the result i want or only like a persentage of the time?

Re: accurasy of gardening recipies?

theres so many factors that are invovled with gardening. the day you plant, the day your feed, the day your harvest and the moon phase. also, theres many 'theoretical' factors such as which nation youre planting in, the pot you use, etc etc.

when you see a recipe, it is NOT 100%. if you look at some other gardening sites, it'll show some statistics. when it comes to ores, ive found that out of every 12 plants, you average around 2 ores. sometimes 3 if you're using arcane pots.

Re: accurasy of gardening recipies?

Gardening is more of an art than a science. Because there are so many factors involve, each more time consuming than the next to test, that it is beyond anyone's comprehension on how well a certain recipe might work over another (If trying to yield a similar item)

However, the best way is to build on what other's have done. I find scouring the different gardening websites and then sort them in Excel by yield is the best way to determine which recipe is the best. I find the best recipe are those that yield very few items. Two is more easier to target a specific yield versus four.

However, gardening is a time consuming affair, fraught with all kinds of ways to kill your plant.

Say if i planted the same plant with the same pot with the same crystals at the same time will i get the exact same results or is it still random?

still kinda random. you can get it to product the same crop most of the time if you carefully reproduce your exact setup, but sometimes, you will still get a bad crop (not what you wanted).

the only sure recipe is tree cuttings -> no crystal -> no crystal -> tree sapling

Random. I remember reading on Alla, someone posted some kind of guide to gardening. When I took it out and looked around, I found out that this person ripped most of his stuff from Pikko's site (never did acknowledge that the data was from Pikko) and I also remembered seeing a lot of errors.

This post also had percentage value of success, but that's all BS. For example, in one month, I remember I yielded over 10 stacks of fire crystals in a growth for some recipe. I managed to duplicate this feat and got nearly the same results the next time around, but the moon phases and days were all off. Yet, when I did see the recipe on some JP site and the suggestions made about when and how, I never did get more than 3-4 stacks since.

So, take everything you read or hear with a grain of salt. Same goes with choco digging and fishing.
