cooking and alchemy is a good start. Pick one, take it up to the point you can make money and just make money. Until you have a lot more cash before moving to the harder-more expensive crafts.

If you count fishing, I would say that's the cheapest and easiest to start and get a profit from. On my server Moat Carp go for 10k a stack, and you can fish those up with 0 skill and 300g worth of bait and tackle.
