| Earning GP.
I'm interested in starting up goldsmithing purely for the sunglasses, but I'm not sure how the GP system works. Does anybody have any tips? When can I start? How do I earn them? Thanks.

yes. Once you apply to that guild and are high enough lvl wise, the NPC will start to tell you that "x" item is being collected. you can recieve "x" points total during that period. Then a new items is chosen and so on. Quick ex: guild asks for copper rings. each ring is worth 10 GP. You can get a max of 100 GP for that item. Therefor if you turn in 10 copper rings you will have maxed out your GP for that period. I believe glasses cost 70,000 GP (clothcraft do anyway)

you can start a guild contract once you become a novice (iirc). from then on, everyday the guild person will ask you to turn in a certain item. trade it in to them for guild points. a word of warning though, you can loose upwards of a million gil just trying to get enough GP for the sunglasses. |

Yeah, guild points can be very expensive, especially for guilds that aren't cheap in the first place. This tool is very handy: http://www.titanictus.com/tools/guild/index.php Just click on your guild. It'll tell you what item you need to turn in today based on your rank, how much it's worth, how much the HQ is worth, and the number of NQs you need to turn in to cap your GP for the day. |
