| Junior Member | Hmm I have an idea... Need some advice
Due to RL commitments I am unable to continue with the large amount of playtime I was putting in each week.. About 1/2 to 3/4 of my playtime was taken up with farming/NM hunting. Now that I am unable to play as much I dont want to spent all my time farming so I have decided a course of action and I need some advice. my current craft levels are as follows :- Bonecraft 60 Woodwork 60 Leather 14 Goldsmith 7 Smithing 4 The others are 0 My idea was to sell EVERYTHING in my possession, I worked out that this would come to about 6-7 million, and put in into crafts so I can eventually get to a stage where my crafts are a good, reliable source of income and I can then eventualy buy my gear back... Is this at all possible? If it is is there any advice you can give me on what course to take? Thank you |

I was told that the only way to make any money by crafting is to either farm for the materials, or get it to 90+ and HQ as much as possible. A certain person on my server, who has a MasterMind pearl (Rich ass >_<) I've seen make 10 milllion gil worth of HQ items in one night (THis person has 100 Goldsmithing) They made a few Pidgeon Earrings +1 along with some HQ PLD JSE pieces. It's crazy what you can make with a high craft, but it's hard and expensive to level.

Out of crafts the only ones that are anywere near good for making huge profits are ones like goldsmithing, blacksmithing, and clothcrafting. The problem is they will cost you well over 20 mil or higher to get them anywere to were you can make a profit with goldsmithing being the worst of them all.
