Here's a guide to level 40 Woodworking-

Levels 0-2 - Arrowwood Lumber
Wind - Arrowwood log x1
-Buy the arrowwood logs from the woodworking guild for about 15 gil each. You can also buy Arrowwood logs from the Norvallen Vendor. Don't buy them from the AH unless you're rich.

Levels 2-5 - Maple Lumber
Wind - Maple log x1
-Once again buy maple logs off the guild or from the Fauregandi Vendor. Don't buy from AH. ^^

Levels 5-8 - Ash Lumber
Wind - Ash log x1
-Buy logs from guild.

Levels 8-10 - Willow Lumber
Wind - Willow log x1
-Get logs from guild.

Levels 10-15 - Bronze Bolt
Earth - Ash lumber x1, Bronze bolt heads x1
-With a 5 level gap, you should have advance synthsis support.

Levels 15-20 - Maple Sugar
Lightning - Maple log x1
-Remember to buy the logs from the guild or the regional vendor. Try to sell at Windurst AH for more gil.

Levels 20-22 - Yew Lumber
Wind - Yew log x1
-Like always, buy the logs off the guild.

Levels 22-23 - Yew wand
Wind - Yew lumber x1, Yagudo Feather x1
-Sell the wands to NPC's or the guild for a little loss of gil.

Levels 23-30 - Silver arrows
Earth - Ash lumber x1, Yagudo Fletching x1, Silver arrowhead x1
-From now on, always use advance synthsis support. It might be handy if you but some Earth pots and put them on your Mog house to have Earth power. You can also Quiver arrows which will save you lots of time and stress. To quiver arrows, go to town that is #1 in conquest. Then search around untill you find a carnival. Talk to a mithra and she'll lead you from there. Port Bastok, Southern San'doria, and Windurst Woods are where the carnival is located.

Levels 31-38 - Beetle Arrow
Earth - Arrowwood lumber x1, Beetle arrowhead x1, Chocobo fletching x1
-Be prepared to fail alot for the first levels. But don't worry for you'll make a profit at the end. Chocobo fletchings can be made from very low level clothcraft (2). Ingrediants are: Wind - Chocobo feather x2. You can get featheres from the chocobo stables. You can quiver theses arrows.

Levels 38-40 - Fang Arrows
Earth - Arrowwood lumber x1, Fang arrowhead x1, Yagudo Fletching x1
-These arrow do not quiver
