I am having trouble with this stage, there seems to be not viable way to do things..either that or i completely missed it.

There are three ways to lvl up in these stages.

Fly Lures:

500gil a piece on midgard..needs..i dont know how much bonecrafting actually..i forget o.o Its sold at a lost of course, and that it doesnt sell that often. Should i bother lvling bonecraft for this even?

Soil Hachimaki:

As if Hachimaki isnt hard enough to sell...i cannot sell this at all. The ingredients are very expensive in the fact that its 3K for a piece of linen cloth, but the hachimaki is about 2-3K on AH sales. Not to mention when i try to desynth Tonberry Coats to try to break even, i end up losing a ton more. Seems anything hachimaki, doesnt sell that great(especially since only 3 jobs can equip it).

Shinobi Tabi(Tonko Powder):

While it looks ok i fail more than often at this too. And usually i lose expensive Cotton Cloths at the expense, and not to mention you also need saruta cotton. I dont know, fail more than i like with this synth..

maybe its just how i am approaching crafting these stages, but i seem to be stuck somewhere that i cannot do any skillup without having significant losses. Any tips or ideas that can help? ;-;

I'm on midguard - Level bone to 8 (very cheap) then do Fly Lures, they do lose gil, but you can NPC them to cut the loss.

Yes, just do fly lures. Use advanced support, try to time it for beneficial moon phases/elemental days/etc. if you're breaking a lot. Failure is not such a big deal since the lures are nearly worthless anyhow and you may as well be throwing them out as selling them. I'm cloth 62.0 and that's what I did way back when--I just raised my bonecraft to 4, then it capped at 8 on its own while making lures. If you have any friends who've leveled alchemy, get them to make the animal glue for you. The glue is a very low recipe (alchemy 8) and I had a friend HQ me tons of it, which saved quite a bit of money.

Once you get to around 28 you can try shinobi-tabi, which may yield a slight profit depending on your server's economy. Just stick with it, soon you can do bird fletchings which are dirt cheap (especially if you farm ingredients) and level basically for free. GL.
