Leather question

I am currently level 11 in leathercraft and am looking for the next skill up. I have seen fishermans gloves, but I this almost seems to be too big of a loss, unless I spend some massive time farming. Is 11 too soon for Dhalmel Leather?

It's not too soon for Dhalmel Leather, but you'll definitely want to hunt your own hides. You'll blow up about 1/2 of them, but the skillgains will be very fast. Fortunately, hides drop pretty quickly.
