Looking to Level Bone and Leather

What are the fastest ways to 10-15 area for these two? (Both at 0 now

)

For bone: Preferably get your own wind crystals in Tahrongi fighting elementals, then go make bone hairpins for lvl 1-5, shell rings until lvl 6 or 7, then do bone rings ALL the way until lvl 15 or 16. If you get your own crystals and sell the items back to the guild (or the little item shop across the way), you should actually make a profit.

For leather, well, make sheep leather and get as much gil as you can, then find what's best for you. I'm trying to get into that, but people keep on buying out all of the sheepskin right away and it takes forever to get them yourself.

Best investment you can make in synthesis is leveling thief to at least 15.

You get more drops, and as a mage you can have fun with sleep --> backstap ^^

Are bone hairpins really the best way to go? I made 24 last night and really only seemed to get EXP when I failed. Currently I am at 2.9, just wanted to make sure it will carry me to 5.

Don't know if you know this, but make sure you're synthesizing on the right day. Refer to that topic to check it out if you never tried this before.

I tried reading that thread and making sense of it, but I am not completely sure I get it. Seems like with wind crystals I would synth BEFORE wind day. But I am not sure.
