As I had alluded to previously, I've done up an endgame COR guide in my usual style(read: vulgar, biased, and with lots of capital letters), if you're interested here it is:

BBQ, if you didn't unload the Wise Strap yet I'd appreciate it if you could test it with QD a bit, I haven't confirmed whether or not it works with it. If you sold yours already I think one of my LS members might have gotten one so I can try to borrow theirs.

Very good and fun to read. I seriously cannot wait to get to endgame as cor. 25 levels and climbing. I know your guide was intended for end game, but any suggestions for gear for 60, besides af body,feet,head?

Deadeye Gloves are a really nice hands piece for shooting, but you'll also want something to melee in that doesn't have Slow on it(I think I used Jaridah or Battle gloves at that level, but I can't really remember it.) Amemet Mantle+1 for 61-forever. Precise Belt(or Gun Belt for /RNG) for shooting and Life Belt for meleeing and if you cannot yet afford a Peacock Charm, Spectacles are a nice holdover. Legs I believe were Jaridah as well, and some standard Accuracy rings, Ecphoria should be nice and cheap since they're typically overfarmed by RMT. And if you are a high enough Assault Rank, Shark Gun is absolutely fantastic and will last you 60-72.

Also, the world of Vana'diel is now plagued with COR/WHMs in full relic with Trump Guns and level 22 bullets. Really, though, only the hat and body are worthwhile. If those CORs think that stuff is cooler for melee than some of the AF+1, Skadi, Dusk and Pahluwan, they need thier heads examined. But hey, /WHM and Refresh justfy gimpness, I suppose

Thanks for sharing your guide. I'm going to read it shortly. Part of the reason I've been stalling on my revamp was because I didn't want to risk anything sounding repetitive. Also workin on a series of guides, so the forthcoming COR one is going to be a blueprint for the future ones I write.

Boo, I'm pissed I didn't think to ask you to try it when you had it, the idea just popped into my head today. Splitting Heirs just became available for the first time on our server this week to there's some available, but still too expensive to pick up just to test on QD, lol. Well, I'm doing runs on Plucking Wings this week, so I might have a shot at another.

At any rate, the 3% doesn't activate enough for it to be worthwhile. I think the Elemental Magic Accuracy straps would be more worthwhile to you since you already have Balrhan's Ring.

Wise strap is like Monster Signa - a stupid money item, for stupid people with stupid amounts of money. Profit from them.

Whew, I guess i got lucky then, most of my thf gear i currently have crosses over.
Specs.O Ame+1 O, Woodsman O, Gunbelt and rng earring for /rng. O, I'll pick up the jaridah pieces tonight. Unfortuanlly im still PSC. still short one assault to PFC. Was thinking af til 65 and get hexa/+1. Sorry to bug you. From day one, i took this job more serious then my other jobs, and don't wanna be the cor/whm with lvl22 ammo and full racc gear. :/

Yeah, it was more along the lines of Elemental Grips A) take up a lot of space which I'd rather put towards Obis if I was going to carry more stuff, B), 20 more Convert HP to MP would mess with my Uggy latent, and C) 2 MAcc with a solid QD set and Acc merits is pretty inconsequential, I rarely see resists as is, so I figured the chance at a +10 MAB boost every now and then would be better than nothing.

I'm also curious to see if it would proc on Leaden Salute, but that would be a pain to test in itself.

I personally don't like Hexaguns because of the low damage, but that's kind of a preference call, they do fine on DoT if you just spam bullets. If you melee you'll want something stronger, Matchlock Gun(+1) works well in place of the Shark Gun.

If you get the chance to spam so Assaults, getting to Superior Private is worth the effort just for Luzaf's Ring. Its not a must-have, but it is rather nice for the manaburn parties and also Parties you can justify a three buff rotation that includes Corsair's Roll.

Just don't wear the ring full time, a lot of boneheads out there think they're supposed to wear it all the time and they end up wiping buffs that may have been useful to the backline of frontline every time they do Phantom Roll. Its a situational piece, but when you get around to endgame events on COR, you'll learn to love it.

Also, all Hexaguns not called Darksteel Hexagun, Trump Gun, Quicksilver and Death Penalty are complete shit. After you hit around 56, upgrade to Matchlock of if you have good assault rank, a Shark Gun. Those two will hold you over until you have access to Murderer, Coffinmaker or Martial Gun.

Haha I actually listed Luzaf's as mandatory equipment, just because in the situations that do need it, it's not exactly replaceable.

Yeah, I just find it sad there are actuall CORs that gimp PTs down because they think Luzaf's was added so they don't ever have to leave the frontline or stop meleeing. So all they do is Evoker's and a melee roll.

I'm starting to think a bad COR is worse than a bad BRD, relic hat or not.

I was considering the matchlock, and then the hexagun. I'm one who tries to plan ahead in all asspects and not gimp myself in the long run.

Im was going to convince my ls to help me get a few assaults out of the way. Luzafs was on my to get list. along with the racc+ ring from toau mission line if i can beat M44 ><.Sharkgun seems a tad out of reach, and im really not sure where to go. And... i still need a moldy earring >.<

If for no other reason, this is true simply because the bad BRDs in my LS do not try to lot BRD gear over the good ones, but that one bad COR does.

Lv. 37 - Samurai Roll: Increases Store TP effect. This definitely ranks up there with my favorite rolls, especially with SAMs in the party. The Store TP boost is pretty buff on good rolls, though by nature sTP only does so much for 2-handers and ranged attackers. If it's not shaving off hits to 100% TP it's really just making extraneous TP, though it works friggin wonders for yourself using Joyeuse. This is generally one of my go-to melee rolls, usually in conjunction with Chaos. The main downside is like other Lucky 2 rolls, landing a 6 is unlucky and needs to be doubled up on, and my ability to roll two straight 6's and bust defies all known laws of mathematical probability. Lucky: 2/Unlucky: 6.

Death Penalty: Same as above, cept will need extra time to stop fapping as well.

Yet more edits: The Rules funny and insightful shit;

1) Bio II is the best spell in the game.
2) Bind is the second-best spell in the game.
3) Kirin's Osode is a WS piece for RNG. Nothing else.
4) For any job that can wear it, Haubergeon is better. The only exception being Haubergeon +1.
5) No matter how good you think it is, your Accuracy probably sucks.
6) Koki sucks and you should feel terrible about yourself if you have it macroed.
7) MP is overrated.
8) If you use VIT rings for anything but Rampart or Chakra, quit the game.
9) Hagun. That is all.
10) Don't silence the Ziz.
11) Don't stand next to the thing you just slept.
12) If you die to a statue and were not at some point hit with Sweep or Frypan, you do in fact fail.
13) Quadav MNKs run faster than you do.
14) Temenos hates you.
15) If you don't come, it will drop. Ask Jyo.
16) Chasuble is for Dark Magic. Nothing else.
17) If you opened the fight with SA+WS, you deserved to die.
18) Get a buffer.
19) Duke Berith is fucking evil, even by Demon standards.
