Puppet and Beast Corsair roll effectivity

As the title says, how effective are the Corsair rolls Puppet Roll and Beast Roll? I can't find a stat on ff wiki, so how effective are the boosts?

How much more accuracy does Puppet Roll give, and how much more attack does Beast Roll give?

Re: Puppet and Beast Corsair roll effectivity

Hypothetically, Puppet and Beast Rolls are comprable to Hunter's and Chaos Rolls, there's just not a really viable way to measure or prove this speculation since its rather difficult to gauge the impact on pets.

That said, in situations where pets are used and its not a detriment to other party members, I will actively use Beast Roll since it does seem to pump up physical damage numbers.

If you're in a situation where you're duoing or trioing with a BST, SMN or PUP, I'd most certainly put up the pet rolls, but in a party setting buffing the players should take priority over the pets (Unless its like a SMN PT, then its equal priority). If you have a SMN that wants BST roll in a standard EXP PT, I'd make sure that its not going to be a disservice to other mages on the backline before using it. If you have a SMN + RDM on the backline or a WHM that manages just fine on Evoker's Roll, then I'd certainly say that Beast Roll was a viable option.

"Effectiveness" is the word you want btw >.>b (or potency)

It's too bad though that you'll never ever see a COR use these rolls inside a normal party.

However, if you have a lot friends who play pet jobs + a COR...

Also, I'd really like to see just what kind of effect these rolls have on avatars and their offensive pacts.

Re: Puppet and Beast Corsair roll effectivity

I'm going to try out the effectiveness when i can, but i got a quick question: For summoners, do you have to cast it while the summon is out? Does it fade when the summon goes away? Or does it stay on the person controlling it and apply to every pet that person controls until it wears off on the user?

Ex- if i'm a bst and i switch pets, does it still apply to the new pet?

Re: Puppet and Beast Corsair roll effectivity

As long as the roll is on the pet owner the roll is in effect, even if pets are changed. Keep in mind it's the player that's buffed, not the pet itself.

In regards to potency, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same % boosts per roll value as Chaos/Hunter's. And as BBQ stated, it definitely is noticeable. @ Mal, it's kind of nuts with Predator Claws, it didn't seem as good with Spinning Dive, and I never really see any SMNs that use other physical pacts, lol.

Re: Puppet and Beast Corsair roll effectivity

Every time I'm in the BLM party and I get a SMN or two in it as well, I think "cool, I'll make those SMN's happy by using Drachen Roll". Then the SMN's insist on standing on top of the BLM's the whole time, so I say screw it and just give them all Evoker's and Wizard's/Warlock's.

Re: Puppet and Beast Corsair roll effectivity

Funny enough, I never had bought Drachen Roll b/c it was too expensive for how little I used it, one of our old SMNs asked me for it during Kirin one time...I said I didn't have it, he warped between fights, bought it for me, and brought it back up to Sky, lol.
