I walked around do a few scan, i couldn't find Merrow icedancer. The only spawn i know corsair fatedealer spawn is the 2 spawn point right outside arrapago reef in Caedarva Mire. (i tried what BBQ suggest before on how to fight it, i can't seem locate them. MAP1 ? MAP2? position ? as i usually go check the ground before i call people to help i go as whm/rng for scans.)

Anyone would like to share me info on where exactly could i find pullable and fightable corsair testi dropper (prefer with screen shot)(tried farm many time on those lamia, haven't see one dropped after few time and gave up).

I tried to ask corsair on my server, most (english speaking one i found) told me they didn't do the 70 genkai as corsair. (they killed maat before).

I also found it extremely hard to farm these mob since blm i was with have trouble dealing dmg to them even Decent challenge, and they have perma shell (resistant to my lightshot alot) (talking about Lamia)

Anyone would like to help (please don't flame me, i just seek for information, i tried possible research, no website helps so far, as i can't locate specifically WHERE like which bridge do they spawn... (because arrapago reef is very hard to walk around it would help if someone point them out directly if they saw them before.)

P.S i need exactly location, if possible.

I know I've seen them around, but i don't make of habiting of remembering the particular spawn locations of mobs that I don't typically kill :x

I'm assume as a cor you have rng unlocked, have you considerering using widescan? It works weather you have the map or not and you'll at least beable to get the locations of the mobs, then switch subs if you're using a different sub to actually kill them.

According to wiki there is only 4 spawn locations with a 16 minute respawn; I'd assume they're spaced out a bit, but perhaps not too far apart.

As far as the BLM not being able to do damage, I believe they're weak to thunder and strong to water. On the few occasions that I've killed them I don't recall any particular resist rates on them. Perhaps it was just the wrong day or weather accounting for a bit for resistance.

Merrow Icedancer

I didn't understand entirely what you said there, your not looking for a BLM mob, Merrow Icedancers are COR mobs.

Anyway, the best description I have of where to find Merrow Icedancers is around the Island where the Soulflayers are on the way to Ilustri Atoll Staging point.

Unfortunately our COR got the Maat(?) to 10% then dropped so we will be returning again /sigh. I hope this is helpful to anyone else looking for this testimony, I searched before we went and couldn't find any information.

Ok thanks, that's the information i needed, i think those merrow icedancer is too much for me to handle. I can't get any large balance party and i am only able to tag 1-2 people with me at a time.

I really would like to ask SE whether they could make this easier, since from the looks of it, out of the 3 type of TOAU class, corsair's testimony is pretty hard and the duel seem all base on luck. (while i got a blue testimoney from a level 60 farming party and a halvug storming party for puppetmaster...)

As for my blm friend, he kept complainting about how lamia have perma shell, making it harder for him to kill (as almost died few time).

My current option is to level another class to break maat....

Well I think the main difficulty with obtaining a cor testimony is that no one I know ever parties there. I'm quite certain if you knew a bst or two they'd have no problem soloing the lamia though; a friend of mine does kill them from time to time.

I've soloed a few as a BLM when looking for the scale or a key, can't say that I noticed a perma shell but I never noticed either. Fairly easy with just gravity, bind, sleeps and nuke. Main problem with where I think these are is the soulflayers about, and if there is enough room to kite them around without making a train.

I have to go check those merrow myself as whm/rng.

However, i prefer if anyone got more information about lamia fatedealer as well. Beside the 2 spawn point (on 5 min which is faster pull)

Hi-o,

I actually did my G5 as Cor, my set up for farming the tests was a PLD 75, WHM 75 and myself Cor 70, we went to Arrapago Reef (G-8) just outside of the Itusi Atoll staging point. There's 2-3 Imps (truesight) you need to get past and then the rest is all sneak/invis. It's literally a 30 second trip to where the Merrow Icedancers pop, however there's only 2 of them and on a 16 min pop.

1 pops right on the little island after the ship (go from the staging point, past the jnun, through the ship, past the first island with all the Draugers to the little (and it is little) island.) the other pops on the first island you cross close to the bridge and can be pulled safely without links.

Note that these tests don't seem to drop all that regularly, my first one dropped in 3 kills and the third to around 15. Took me 5 tries to clear it.
