Probably not, because instruments increase potency of a specific "song." Corsair is done by shooting bullets. With all the different types of buffs/debuffs around, I don't think they are gonna make instruments to enhance the effect of one specific debuff/buff bullet (or else, u'll be doing a lot of gun switchings) and bullets aren't infinite use.

They're a special kind of gun so I think they might just be loaded with special magicite bullets (think back to the days of Mustadio). Also this could end up being a job like the Gadgeteer in FFT...where an unlucky toss gives the mob haste instead of the party. Defintely keep your fingers ready when playing a Corsair

I almost break into fits when I'm lotting on Kindred Seals after exp ._. I bet they're gonna rely on CHR. *sighs* I better stock up on CHR gear before the price jack-rockets.

here we go again, why do people assume things out of a damn picture and some vague insinuations? _why_ cant a bullet buff/debuff/heal/shoot bunnies/make pie? you have people casting magic, you have songs that make you run faster, you have dragons, you have 10inch tall people, you have people without a gender, you have talking cats and alternate dimensions, yea, it's fiction, it's a freakin game, why cant there be magical ammo that you can use to wash your dishes (or other shit), it's called originality, it's called a sense of imagination, stop bringing SE down each time they do something new, it's getting annoying for the love of tarus.. katamari damacy job, can i have it? ill roll over your ass with a pile of tarus and mandies, and you will be poisoned from it and take 10 damage, who cares, it's freakin cool.

The tranlation calls their weapon a "Hex gun", don't expect them to use the same guns that Rangers use. It sounds more like a gun mage's weapon from FFX-2.

I can't wait- I think it'll be great to go from levelling RDM to COR (? The first three letters of my name, Coincidence!? I think not). It's gonna be fun

Maybe when they buff the party they fire flare ammo that explodes above the targets head and rains down like a firework imparting the status effect. Against mobs, they presumably just fire standard shots or it could be the same kind of effect. They said a hexagonal gun, not a rifle, I just pictured some multi-purpose flare gun kind of thing.

This job sounds really interesting, and will probably be pretty exciting to play...but I think you will have to learn who the COR on your server are, and find out which ones are lucky and which ones aren't. As for me being a COR, I'll definately try it, but my luck sucks, so if you're on Gilgamesh server and you see Jaxom lfp as a COR, I wouldn't recommend sending an invite. (Hate to shoot myself int he foot like that, but I'd also hate for my bad luck to bring everyone else down...too often)

Sure, you may have rather poor luck now(and not only you, but unfavorable luck runs rampant for many throughout the game), but perhaps the intoduction of this "gambler" ability will coincide with the introduction of a Luck skill category? Successful gambling results raising your skill, in turn increasing your chances at a favorable outcome. A Luck skill could also fare favorably for other jobs, such as Theif, seeing THF's TH ablility augmented by this. On the other hand, a Luck skill or stat might be as useful as Enhancing is to Sneak and Invisible. Perhaps, like TH, Gambling can be augmented by a trait that increases in strength with periodical level gain. All speculation to be sure, but it seems that one or the other scenario is warranted for a game where the odds are often against you.

The addition of a luck trait would be a nice one...especially if it enhanced TH! Might make helping people get their G1 ancient papyrus and those damn coffer keys for AF go a little faster. Personally I think the job trait idea is more likely, although I have no real reason to back up why I think that.
