|    Resolution trouble
I just bought a new monitor its a 19" widscreen. The trouble is that when I play the game everything looks a little squashed. Can anyone tell me the best res to use with this monitor for FFXI? Current settings are overlay 1440x900 background 1024x1024

You'll need to check the resolution of your monitor if it's LCD or plasma (which it sounds like). Look at the manual and see what the "native resolution" setting for the monitor is, and set your overlay resolution to that. Background resolution shouldn't matter, except for the sharpness of the textures. Icemage |

I just use the regular size and change the aspect ratio in the in-game config. misc 2 > background aspect ratio
