What kind of RAM do I need?

I'm purchasing some RAM off of ebay so I can get it for about $100 less than the local stores. But which type do I need. I looked online and can't find anything.
I have a compaq presario 5000.

IS there anything else you need to know?

from that link it seems that there are loads of different modle numbers for the 5000 series, but the ones I checked looked like they take SDRAM either PC100 or PC133. I would use that link and check to make sure though.

One more question. It said this
"The Crucial Memory Advisor has already done this step for you! The maximum memory your Compaq Presario 5000 Series Model 5012US. can support is 512MB"

Does that mean that if I get 2 512MB sticks that it would only handle one of them?
