Wikipedia links parse in the most annoying way possible.

A couple of times recently I noticed when I wanted to [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper"]link someone to Wikipedia[/ame] and [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper"]attach the link to my words[/ame], the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper"]words[/ame] in question would just disappear and I would be left with nothing more than a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper"]parsed link[/ame] that replaced all my words for no apparent good reason other than to place a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper"]"w"[/ame] right next to my replaced words.

He's (failing at) saying that you can't do this with Wikipedia URLs. I would just end up with, say, [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia]lol[/ame] where "you can't do this with Wikipedia URLs" is.

I noticed it before but I couldn't be bothered to complain about it.
