Just to let ppl know, crafting Shihei's before lvl 26 WW is a bad idea, I just did that today and lost a lot of money from failures lol.
Aside from that i did get to lvl 28 from 22 and am now a Novice ^^ and the Guide is awesome! i didnt know what to do after the Shihei
Thanks again "I've always wanted to be a paladin.I love the fact that you would sacrafice yourself for something that you believe in and for someone that you dont even know. To believe in something so full-heartedly that no one and no thing could ever stop you, that is true courage and power! I wish i could become that someday." I'm lvl 68 and about done lvling off of ancient lumber. My question is if Scimitar Cactus is a decent thing to be lvl'ing off of. It caps at 78, so it would be a good inbetween until I can skill off of Elshimo Palms, which are also a gardening furnishing, but they seem to sell more on the AH. Are these usually npc'd? And if so, to whom? I realize I'm past the 50's so I'm not going to be making money by any means, but most of the other options just seem to be equivalent to just flushing my money down the drain.
If anyone can offer some advice, I'd love to hear it. I RNG 75 I WAR 37 I NIN 38 I SAM 50 I Woodworking 92+2

I find it funny that 72-80 looks a lot harder than 80-90. I'm trying to stockpile cheap ebony logs, make them into lumber, and then turn them into poles later... I'm still looking into things to make other than those crappy poles. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 05-08-2006, 11:16 AM | #24 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 177 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post Gil: 7,636 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 7,636 Donate | Re: Woodworking 101 (NOT "workworking"!) Is there a recommended level to start Woodworking?
I went to a Logging Point in E. Ronfaure...
And, all I got was this damn Ronfaure Chestnut.

Nice guide. It helped a lot. At what levels can you take the tests to get your rank higher? I know the first one is lvl 8, but after that is it 16 or 18? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 08-07-2006, 09:45 PM | #28 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: UK, Lancashire Posts: 60 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post Gil: 2,641 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 2,641 Donate | Re: Woodworking 101 (NOT "workworking"!) here's a WW exam guide i made on my LS Forum.. please be aware prices are based on UNICORN server.

8/10 - Recruit
Workbench (7) - Earth Crystal, x1 Laulan Lumber, x4
make this yourself
--
18/20 - Initiate
Maple Table (16) - Earth Crystal, x1 Maple Lumber, x4
1k in AH, but fun to make yourself, more sense of achievment lol
--
28/30 - Novice
Harp (27) - Earth Crystal, x1 Chestnut Lumber, x2 Coeurl Whisker, x1
cheaper to make yourself.
--
38/40 - Apprentice
Traversiere(37) - Wind Crystal, x1 Parchment, x1 (not Bast) Oak Lumber, x1
cheaper to make yourself.
--
48/50 - Journeyman
Rose Wand(47) - Wind Crystal, x1 Rosewood Lumber, x1 Black Chocobo Feather, x1
buy this from Jeuno for about 10k
--
58/60 - Craftsman
