Just a brief description of my playstyle, i hate gimp players who dont take time farm/hunt key items to do and play their jobs right, so to not be hypocritical, anyjob i choose to level, i will play it to its full potential in parties/events. I love BLU and before i started playing ffxi i knew it was going to be my career job. Now its been 2 years (almost 3 years) , and my BLU is only level 1...i leveled WHM to 75 to pimp my BLU the best i could lol.

Heres a list of items i obtained thanks to friends, ls members, and a whole lot of patience and i was just wondering, of course from more experienced players/BLUs out there what other items do you reccomend?

To be honest i need some advice, or am i missing anything before i begin my journey from 1-75 lol. I figure with my 75WHM i got alot of help from friends who i cant tell you how many missions, fails, events, i had to go main heal or how many merit parties i ditched for them lol but it was all in good fun. Being a 75WHM is also a nice excuse to go to events where i help pimp my BLU lol.

I also read on so many gear-setups for so many spells. (ex. breath spells, cannonball, etc, etc.)

Any BLUs out there give me any advice?

I would recommend Ecphoria Ring if you havent finished ToAH before 50.
Also Antivenom Earring and Insomnia Earring are my picks for level 50 earrings. Then again i don't max out everything quite as much as you seem too lol

Ive also found 2x centurions swords to be awesome at 30, then upgrade to the Combat Casters at 40, obviously you would want to get the upgraded versions of each when available to your level.

Otherwise you have basically acquired a dream list of equips for my blu lol

Great advice man, thanks for the info. I will definitely look into those items. I have a Insomnia Earring, and Antivenom Earring from my WHM, i was considering to sell them but now i wont lol. The Combat Casters at 40, along with the Centurion sword have sweet stats. I can see why you chose them.

Leveling up some really nice choices include the cobra set from Windurst, SH, AJ, etc.

I tended to focus more on ACC than ATK because ATK will not help your physical spells, so I chose Tiphia over Grenade, etc. This is by no means all the best stuff you can get, but it is what I keep available to me on BLU. I have many suggestions and opinions on BLU stuff, but I'll leave it at this for now and if you have questions as to why I use certain stuff I'll try to explain as best I can

BTW no one is gonna look down on you if you just get a NQ Scorp Harness, put that extra half a mil into somethin else

Magus Keffiyeh and the +1 version are nice for additional MND and INT bonuses, I've discovered. Especially for INT. You'll certainly need for something like Firespit, since that's both based on INT and MND for mods.

Your setup is really nice, and it helps me understand what i should focus on. I picked up an Assault Jerkin a few days ago. Looks promising. I see you picked up the Utha. Ring, but wouldnt the Bath. Ring (Macc+4 + Refresh) be a better choice for BLU? I was perhaps thinking about Bath.Ring/Rajas combo and picked up a Jaeger Ring if Acc is a problem.

How important is the Enkidu set? I see you have the subligar, looks nice but is it that neccesary? I am currently in a ZNM LS, and hoping something like the Enkidu Harness.

You have the Koggle sword too, how difficult is it to obtain. I havent really experienced those mazes yet, or just havent found people that are willing to go lol.

I am trying to get the Yigit set for my WHM, i guess it will help out my BLU too, sweet! But what do you use the yigit set for? As in spells, etc etc?

I use it because I have it really (a pure ACC ring would be a bit better). The MACC (as I understand it) isn't helping the accuracy of your physical spells, and I usually use BLU for Physical rather than Magical purposes. As such, I didn't see the MACC ring being that useful for me. Keep in mind the refresh effect will only be in specific events...if it were full time it would be a no-brainer. Incidentally a LOT of folks get the ring you chose....for me, I come to Nyzul/Assault events on SAM/BLU/NIN. The Ulthalums won out for me specifically because in the situations where the latents kick in, it's useful on the jobs I come as.

It's not critical, but it is very nice to have. Enkidu's Subligar are the biggest STR boost we get in the legs slot, and STR and DEX modifiy many spells. The mitts have the same stat modifiers and throw in accuracy to help Disseverment/FRip/Hysteric Barrage (which tend to be your "bread and butter" spells). I haven't focused so much on the harness but it would be useful as well. Keep in mind that if you have Relic Pants those are almost as nice as the Subligar so you could decide whichever you like better.

Depends on your situation. I had a very nice group of LS people who helped me through the 50 boss runs it took to get the thing to drop. Some folks have gotten it faster, I just had crappy luck. Like most things in this game, time and patience win out. It's not hard to put your maze together, but getting people to help you night after night could be. All in all though, I'm thrilled with the Koggel. Outstanding DPS and Stats, and if I face Beast mobs and can get intimidated I can always slap in Beast Slayer.

I got the whole set for the storage TBH >_>. Yes, this is a magical spell casting set. Hands and Feet are exceptional to cast in. Body I don't use on BLU (that's a BRD piece for me, and I like the pure stat boosts of Errant). Head I use for Mind Blast and such. Legs are strictly hMP.

Upgrades I am currently focusing on are Mirage Jubbah (will become my primary TP piece) and Enkidu's Mitts. I'm a family guy so I don't really have the time to pursue any Morrigan Gear, but if you do there are some options there as well. After that I'm not sure lol...mebbe HQ versions of things I already have.

Definitely do ZNM.
All Enkidu's set are incredibly useful for BLU

- There's nothing can beat Enkidu's Mittens and Enkidu's Subligar for multi-hit spell casting. (STR+8 DEX+8 acc+9 inclusive)
- Enkidu's cap give close if not the same accuracy as Ohat with 3 more DEX, couple it with Kubira Bead Necklace from Einherjar, this is the strongest pair (damage and accuracy) you can put head and neck.
- Enkidu's Harness : Unless you decide to Augment +10 acc and +10 atk oncoming Mirke Waldecors, this would be the best TPing piece whenever your MP is not pushed too much (when that's the case, swap to Morrigan's Robe or Mirage Jubbah)
- Enkidu's Leggings is a good place holder until you got Homam Gambieras. It's also a better version of Dusk Ledelsens for any job that can wear it.

The body is out of my reach at the moment since that NM is a tier IV and i have plenty of competition in regards of the body piece but the hands and legs are obtainable. The cap i will try to obtain but as far as neck pieces go i have the Peacock Amulet, would the Kubira Necklace be a better choice?

Quick question.

I am working on Enkidu Hands and Enkidu Leggings. The Enkidu cap and body are currently out of my reach but the Subligar isnt. Now is the subligar worthwhile? It seems decent for what it offers. Any opinions?

Subligar is not decent. It's the best for multihit spells and vorpal blade when paired with mittens. Also the best for cannonball setup.

I did however obtain the Mirage Shawlwar (BLU relic pants) the other day in Dynamis-Bastok so i guess these will suffice till i obtain the enkidu subligar.
