|   Question about the AF Helm quest
Quick question about the quest that gives you the Blu AF. Do you have to have all the other AF before you can go get the AF helm or can I skip the craptacular Magus Shalwars entirely?

I didn't re-quest the keffiyeh, but I assume you need to redo the quest before that (Charuqs)

I remember just being able to do AF2 (Feet) First, then Keffiyeh (AF3), and finally dealt with the crafted pieces last.

You have to get the Charuqs and that's it. Although you should buy the Body and Hand pieces. Having a 75BLU, the body can be the difference between a resist and a clean hit. And you'll want the hands for spell learning.

Oh, I've got the feet since I had to get those first, and I've already had the body and hands crafted since those are pretty much invaluable to have. The pants though aren't really worth having crafted at this point in time for me. Too much gil for a piece that's nothing more than looks. So great, don't need to get 'em before I can get the helm, thanks for the replies!

They do have a use, and a very good one. Every single piece of Blue Mage Artifact is useful; SE made sure of this. It's one of the few AFs where every piece is needed to run the job at its peak, optimal performance in one way or another (hell, AF+1 competes easily with Enkidu's for that slot).
