Getting the skill

How do I get the skill or whatever? I'm in Windurst and I'm pretty sure there is no place to get Blacksmithing. Is it in Bastok or something? Or can I learn it in Jeuno?

It's better to level Smithing in Bastok, though San d'Oria has a guild as well.

You can level up to 10 without visiting any guild, but it is a lot easier, since you should start with Bronze Ingot, which requires Copper and Tin ore--both available from the guild shop.

Also, if your job levels are current, sounds like you are a tad new to this game. Crafting is not cheap. It's hard to make money with crafts at low skill levels. Unless you have a fairly reliable source of income, I'd say wait a little while, or take the skilling slowly. Ya know, a full skill level every few days or so.
