equip or not?

I have a quick question. I was just wondering if it was terribly important to buy armor for blm before lvl 10. I barely have enough money when it comes to spells..much less equips. I did purchase a maple wand to improve my int. Should I try to save up for armor at this point or could I hold off for a while?

definately pickup a tunic as it'll increase your survivablity while soloing (more defense). instead of the maple wand though, I would suggest you get a nice hefty ash pole. again, this will help immensely while soloing (more damage).

the tunic and staff you can conceivably use until 20 if you are short on cash, but definately keep your spells up to date.

spell >> gears in your level. Get spells in favours of gears. Besides, there really isn't much you can get in from gears as BLM. Maybe save up for a good +INT wand and 2 INT rings (eremit?). The rest won't really matter for a while.

okay. i have been keeping my spells up to date. its just a little difficult to manage the cost of those on top of the cost of equips. I am about to start building up my crafting skills and complete some more quests for moolah
