It's VERY important to turn your back to the eyes. Their breakga spell is directional, so is their paralyze WS. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-01-2006, 06:01 AM | #17 (permalink) | | Senior Member Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Aug 2003 Posts: 1,286 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 7x in 5 Posts Gil: 4,675 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 4,675 Donate | Re: stonega 2 usefulness {Found it} | Originally Posted by Tirrock | | Their breakga spell is directional, so is their paralyze WS. | Really? I've had my back turned, and I've been petrified thanks to breakga. I think it's only for their Paralyze move. I've actually wiped once to this BCNM with 2 friends of mine due to the spell. :/
Went in Stonega IIed, then the middle eyes came up and used Breakga on us. ; ;
Oh well, I've seen some crazy shit before, like Faust get stuck on a ledge, so we just nuked him to death without anyone actually tanking him. Also, I've seen the Elvaan Ark Angel Spam her AOE about 5 times in a row (I'm being serious, back to back) with nobody meleeing her, pretty much wiping my Divine Might alliance, because spamming Curagas just doesn't cut it when they're back to back. >_< 75WHM 75BLM 57BST 50RDM 42SMN 28BRD

I had my side turned to it and it petrified me. It's never touched us any other time. Although, they don't seem to cast it very frequently. The fight itself is over in under a minute. >_>a
Sometimes we have to adjust what direction we face mid-fight by using first person view and turning. We've had the eyes run up (slide up?) right beside us, making us all have to turn 90ยบ.
Oh, and somepage lists the peacock charm as a 5% chance drop. I don't know how accuracte that is, but it is sort of depressing. I probably have enough for 10 more orbs, so here's to hoping I beat somepage's odds. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-01-2006, 06:40 AM | #19 (permalink) | | Fence Sitter Brain of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: UK Posts: 1,342 Style: Dark - Version 5 Thanks: 53 Thanked 90x in 68 Posts Gil: 4,036 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 4,036 Donate | Re: stonega 2 usefulness {Found it} Stonega II, remarkably, is surprisingly effective in Worms Turn as well. We do this occaxxxxlly, cause Nemesis Earring goes for a ridiculous amount on my server (600k-1 mill for something that drops nearly every time - yes, please). After Franz is dead, me and a friend would take it in turns to Stonega II then sleepga the other worms. They don't stay alive for very long... I guess you can run away if it does. The smaller eyes reaching you sooner might be ok, they like to spam their paralyze move and not attack much ^^ I don't think breakga is directional. I got petrified sometimes running away from it as Rdm, and in dynamis we got petrified in a huge group no matter which direction we look. There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

I tend not to judge how spells/monsters should act based on how they normally act outside of a BCNM. Some people blur those lines and you get RDM casting silence on mandragoras because they're afraid it'll cast flood if they don't.
Anyway, your back should be turned because of Hex Eye anyway. That's almost as bad as petrification sometimes. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-24-2006, 08:33 AM | #22 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 11 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 365 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 365 Donate | Re: stonega 2 usefulness {Found it} two of my BLM friends and I tried this last night and got eaten lol
the initial Stonega II blast did not kill the smaller ones and only put them around half and left the main eye at 2/3.
How much damage did the Stonega II spell do to the smaller eyes? We hit around 180~210 dmg per spell landing (around 600 dmg in total to the smaller eyes) | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
