If AF2 gloves do indeed add only 3%, then indeed, Zenith is better. Zenith Gloves add +5 magic attack bonus, which we know from our formula equates to +5% damage. However, not only is this 2% higher than AF2 gloves to begin with, Zenith mitts do this for *every* spell, not just on bursts. Therefore, hands down, Zenith Mitts are better than AF2 gloves.
However, this is assuming of course you're nuking something that doesn't resist that much, as why would anyone unequip +15 elemental magic skill that are our AF1 gloves? O.o (unless nuking things much lower, or not that resistant, of course)
