First or 3rd o.O), so I tested the thing out in an exp party, and really noticed a difference in how much more I could nuke. The biggest difference you'll notice is that you actually have to WORK to get aggro (at 60, keep in mind...I rip hate off tanks almost effortlessly at 70) when wearing full AF, and the difference in damage gained by the 2 int from jaustacorp is so slim it's basically negligble (sp).
Work to get aggro? That sounds kinda exxagerated... if you're not kidding, than that means; enmity-3 from Coat and -4 from Petasos would mean about 2-4 more Level II spells. I usually cast Blizzard II/Thunder II, so... about an additional 300~ish damage!? And now... I was actually talking from my point of view; someone that had a Shaman's Cloak to sub for. The cloak has INT+4, which makes up for Petasos' INT bonus, and MP+25 is decent compared to the MP boosts from the Coat/Petasos. I love the Elemental Skill+5 the most, however. Makes my spells even more accurate. But if I was 60, and I did have the Wizard's Coat and Petasos, I would be able to cast a few more spells (2-4, maybe even more?). Even IF they were resisted, I would still be doing more damage. Right?

Also, the +15 enfeebling magic helps a boat load with sleeps (read: BCNM60). In all the time I've done BC60 (probably in total I've done around 40-50 bc60 runs), I've had my sleeps resisted exactly 3 times. With the duration of sleepga II...do you have any idea how easy that makes BC60's? lol. The thing that's really fun is taking a bard with you...make them lullaby, and time your sleepga so that RIGHT before lullaby would wear off, you sleepga II (it overwrites lullaby) so that they just stay slept. You could also try using Sleepga I, then timing it again with sleepga II, but that's more dangerous, as if one of them half-resists the spell....your timing gets thrown off.

Final note - when Rag was selling Ice Staff for 600k, Midgard was at 2 million ; ;
About the BCNM60/Enfeebling Skill+15, I do understand it. My comment was reflecting on when you were in Experience Parties only, not BCNM or misc. events. Sorry if I confused you. -_T

About that last comment: 2 MILLION GIL? THAT'S THE PRICE OF AQUILO'S!

Bastokan and Republic circlets have Mag. Atk Bonus +3 and +5 when in your nations turf. Level 34 I think, I've had my Bastokan a long time but the AF hat seems to add more damage (exactly 1 point difference every time O_o).

I did not know that O.O

Kaz - yes, it's slightly exaggerated, but you can nuke a lot more carelessly with AF than without it, is what it comes down to. I'd rather be able to cast just ONE more spell without turning a mob in the same time frame as having +2-5 more damage on all the nukes I did (1 blizzard II for 300 damage more than accounts for the difference in damage), and the difference is definately more than one nuke.

The example I give is I did a few avatar runs with a friend of mine. At the time, we were both the exact same level (58), wearing the exact same gear (with one exception), and both of us are taru's. The one thing different was he was wearing AF body, and I was wearing a Jaustacorp.

We always synched our spells...not consciously, but we would pick the same spell and both cast at the same time (or within a second of one another). We were fighting garuda. End of battle totals:
Me:
1 freeze, 1 blizzaga II, 1 death (made garuda turn at the freeze, paladin got hate before she moved much, rested a bit, cast blizzaga II, got so much hate she ripped off blink/stoneskin and killed me before our pally could react)
Him:
2 freezes, 2 blizzaga II's, 0 deaths
His second blizzaga II killed her. She was being really annoying and literally SPAMMING her heal move...so kept trying to finish her off...and she kept healing..it was really frustrating.

But yeah, that was the fight that convinced me that -3 enmity makes a bigger deal than we give it credit for.

For The Horde!!
Current Gil total spent on gear:
3,235,000
Current Gil Value of gear:
1,151,000
Laughing when new players complain about prices:
Priceless
