I'm having problems with my Black magic

Okay here's the situation:

In a battle I hit for 60 damage using some attacking magic. Later in the same battle and against the same enemy, that same spell only hits for 5 damage. I find this frustrating to see my MP go to waste. This happens way too often. Does anyone know why this happens?



And, is Drain really worth the gil I paid for it? Is it worth leveling up?

Magic isn't 100% accurate so instead of the attack being evaded all together you get a severe decrease in Magic Attack. Usually decreased by 50% for me but it can be severe too.

Just happens. Use elemental seal(10 min ability) to ensure 100% accuracy for the next spell.

I believe elemental magic skill means a lot. my RDM elemental skill is quite lower than BLM and so my magic got resisted a lot more often than BLM's.

also INT i think.... a taru RDM has more success shooting magic than me.
