i have a Taru and love BLM/WHM combo (30/17right now)
i tryed out BST the other day and i think it is a cool job now Lv10

any thoughts on a BLM/BST combo Pros & Cons

any info would be helpfull

No no no no no

Stick with /nin,/rdm/ or /whm. /bst is awful for blm

lol man i was afraid i was gonna hear that... i LOVE LOVE LOVE my BLM and i was thinking it would be cool to have a pet attack as i nuke...

It wouldn't be bad at lower levels when it's still difficult to kill beastmen pets safely due to lack of staves and ancient magic. But the other problem with BST is that you'd need to keep it at least as high as your BLM for Charm to work properly.

i do sleep anything that will sleep and bind anything i cant sleep.. i have my BLM down
i just got the bst last weekend and i think having a pet is cool
i did BST/BLM but that was not fun since i didnt have my spells

i will try to level BST to the same as my BLM so that the charm works and test it out

i was reading in another post that the charm would work fine with BLM30/BST10 but im not too sure i trust that

have not seen another post to back that up

Don't know. Mostly going by what a friend told me, that he tried sleepnuking and it kinda sucked. I could be misinformed though.

Either way I don't see it as being terribly useful.

You won't be doing either with a pet smacking your mob. Seems like nothing more then a quick way to a dirt nap.

you'll pull WAY too much hate nuking, you will get raped and your pet will hit for much less than you.

Bind would still work >> same as if i was pt with another player but your right sleep would not work
i was thinking about partying as well as soloing somtimes

i have a full time party.. so i will hardly solo (atleast one other is always with me)

we have a WHM in the party so im not really needed for that
my big issue is the charm factor... if i cant charm then its not a good combo

it would just be nice to be a little Taru and have a tiger as a pet lol but thats just me

my Buddy(& PT leader) /laugh at me when i 1st got it but then we were hunting chest keys for kazam airship pass and the wide scan really helped lol but the mobs were allto low to give any exp and no pets to try and charm

Until you hit the mob again at which point it's free and Bind has a rather long recast.

Stick to BLM/NIN and soloing BST pets for the best EXP.

really ?!?!? i bind things all the time and get atleast 2-3nukes off before it come at me ... sometimes i kill it even before it starts to move...

But your advice on the /BST is good i was just trying to put two things in a combo that just dose not work out so well

ill use BST/whm for awaile to lv beast solo...

If a mob gets hit with a physical attack, bind wears. Your nukes are not physical, obviously.

OIC... i did not know that... lol being a 30BLM/WHM15(17) in a good party i never get hit..

so i bind but they take the hate and it just dose not come at me lol man i really didnt knwo that about bind... Thanks

or any DoT will also break bind, and the effect never lasts very long either (usually 10 seconds max) while it has a 1 minute recast.
