| Bst Merits
Just started getting merits, i put about 2 into axe skill, and could not help myself and got Feral Howl even though i have read bad reviews about it. Just wondering what other beastmasters put their merits into and if any suggestions? |

Beast Affinity and Beast Healer ftw. Reward and Sic are good choices too. |

I think i have used "Reward" a grand total of five times. Just not a feature i feel necessary to use. |

As Malacite mentioned, Beast Affinity is good, as is sic. Where you put your merits depends on how you play bst and what you do with it/want to do with it. I'm currently working on crit merits. Bst specific merits? I don't remember what I have atm. ...I just remember that I put one here, one there, and one over there....just trying them out and all. IMHO, do keep the Feral Howl. Just one merit there is nice. Good claim tool if you already have a jug out. |

Maxed out with gear and merits Zeta Biscuits (I think that's the highest ones?) can heal a hell of a lot of HP.

Well , I have been dumping almost all the merits i can get into axe, i can't really tell a difference quite yet, but i did notice critical rate hits a bit more frequent, but not sure if this is because i am subbing nin now. Can i expect to see a difference if i keep putting merits into axe skill? |

Yes. You will gain more accuracy and attack from higher skill, which means more DoT. | |

I see alot of people saying dagger 8/8 or sword 8/8, when they say that does that mean that their skill is fully merited?

I personally didn't bother getting any BST specific merits as they are all pretty horrible imo. Sure, some of them are marginally useful but not even close to being worth the cost. If I had nothing better to do and I had to merit them I'd go Reward Recast 5/5, Tame Recast 5/5, Feral Howl 5/5, and Beast Healer 5/5. Beast Affinity is highly overrated as you could literally just spend the time farming instead and afford enough for the superior LDL's vs. Funguar for the next several years. About the only jug worth using BA on would be HQ tiger for the runspeed but unfortunately he doesn't cap at 75 even with 5/5 BA.
