BST Info Topic

Ditto. BST are great no doubt, but if Squenix were to make them too good one of two things will happen: 1) There will be WAY too many and 2) BST would get hit with the nerf stick, for those of you who don't know what that is I'll explain. When a job gets nerfed it is screwed up to make it seem more balanced with the other jobs, or made weaker, this pisses off mass numbers of people and so on and so forth (its not good). BST are right where they need to be, DONT MESS IT UP FOR US SQUARE!

That's the most positive thing i've heard about BST so far....good good . I am sucker for really rare and unique, yet powerful job combos and i have been thinking of working with BST as a subjob. Maybe it is in fact worth it?
I mean, i like the fact that, say, you're in a group fighting gobs, you are RDM/BST, your group is fighitng a gob but another gob comes up and starts hacking at your whm. Right there you can turn things totally around, charm that gob, send the gob on the other gob, thereby INCREASING your pt's damage. And then after you can release and finish off the other gob . I dunno, but it sounds fun, and that's what the game is all about right? fun? hehe

i haven't tryed it yet, but if indeed you can charm an "even match" with a subbed BST job i can't see a real "downside"....

unfortunately, Bluuu, you can't charm Goblins, Orcs, Demons, and other beings of that sort...

you can tame easies to incredible toughs with bst as a sub, same with sbt as a main...alll depends on what lv you are, what you are chaming (like, a Sar Champ Skink has super charm resistance), and your CHR value.


and yah, like above...no tame arcance, undead, nm, hnm, demon, or dragon type monsters.

You can't tame anything that is aggressive. If you wanted I guess yuo could tame a star bat and duek it out with a gob?

You will have a harder time charming stuff with BST subbed, the greater the difference in lvls between you and the mob.

If ??? / BST was a viable thing, you'd see more of them, but you don't. Plus it would be kinda broken. :-\

I may have been mistaken about the recharge time on charm, but please don't make things up for no reason.

... you can't charm beastmen type =P and yes you can charm AGRO type monster like Tigers in batallia.. yah you can also charm the some NM's but not all i.e BCNM 40's you can charm the little Mandorgas, etc. You can charm cactuars but charming it would be harder if it's your level because it's a strong++ type of even match like jellys you can charm jellys also but it would be hard =P. because a decent jelly can take out a tough mob. think >=P laters

Jellies are crazy. They have such high defense it's not funny. Truly harrowing when you're hitting it for 10 or so dmg when it's still hitting you for 35-40, and it cons as "Easy prey." Yeah right. :angel:
