Beastmasters getting lower drop rates?

Now that I think about it, from a previous forum, i learned that somehow "Hate" is a factor in getting drop rates. If this is true, then as a BST main, do I get lower drop rates?

Here's why I wonder -

If a BST has a pet, a charmed and not jug, then doesn't that mean a lot of hate gets put on the pet? So if the pet has generally higher hate values, or at least I'm not generating the full hate of the monster, does that mean I myself am not generating enough hate for the usual drop rate?

If there is ANY valadity in this, I'll be so sad ; ;, if not, then please straighten me out and tell me how this thing works.

Also, apply if i have a jug pet, and if it is any different at all.

I stopped reading here. Never seen anything to suggest this is true. Obviously a player needs hate on the mob to kill it and have the chance to receive drops. But as far as amounts of enmity affecting the rate at which items drop...?

Now that i read back on the fourm i mentioned, i guess that Emnity only played a role in the ability Treasure Hunter...

I guess i was just paranoid

1. you dont need hate to have items drop.
2. You need to register damage for T.H to work.
3. You don't need /thf to get drps.

What you heard was that a thf needs to generate enmity on a mob for TH to work. SE revealed that mechanic at the last fanfest. The amount of enmity is not important, and higher amounts of enmity don't make TH work better. So long as a thf has done something to put themselves on a mob's hate list before it dies, their level of TH will affect the mob.
