The Sanctuary of Zi'tah
I soloed my blm here on pets....and yeah, I lost a bunch of exp, due to the fact that I didn't /nin. (That would be an absolute must......) ....uh, I used to be a 33 blm...but managed to drag myself down to 32 in the process. Live(or die as the case may be...) and learn...

...and it got me thinking....why not give it a shot with bst? My bst is lvl 30. I was thinking about trying this tonight after I got off of work. Maybe something like:

1)Dia or slow pull a gob's pet.

2)Reward pet as needed. Beta's might do it...

3)Combine jug and bst dmg.

4)/heal ; /stay as needed.

My jugs are currently hitting slightly harder than I do, so I'm not to worried about the hate. The type of reward that I feed my jug will have some determination not only on hate, but on the longevity of my jug....so, maybe beta's might be a bit small...

There are a couple of gob bst's near the OP, so I shouldn't be waiting on those.... Transportation in would be handled by "The Big Chicken"....and out by pots...

Viable?

What are your thoughts?

Doesn't this really say it all? ><

Re: The Sanctuary of Zi'tah
Updating for relevant information:

I gave this a shot at lvl 30. I went in, used my jug...and pulled a pet back to the outpost. I've discovered that lvl 30 is a bit low for this work in this location. I won the fight, but ended up using Divine Seal and Cure II to keep myself alive. My jug almost died as well.... ....way too much down time to be chaining these...

For some strange reason, I like the idea of this, so I'm going to give it another shot when I hit level 32, if that doesn't work, then lvl 33. I should be @ 32 in another day or so, depending on how much time I actually have to play the game. I'll post up my further study into stupidity in the near future.

~~EDIT: At level 32, this works really well. I went in equipped with sheep jugs, as lizard jugs are level 33. I also went in with a stack of beta biscuits, a scroll of instant reraise, and a scroll of instant warp.

Battles went really smooth. I'd /stay the jug at the OP and head out for a pull. I Dia pulled, as it casts fast and that's a good thing when dealing with Gob pets. The fight would generally end with me and my pet in the 25% health range. Since I've /whm, I could use divine seal, which greatly speeds up player recovery time. After the fight ended, I'd /reward the pet and drop divine seal and cure myself up. The low amount of MP that I have allowed me to get up and search/wait for the next pull while the pet was still in /stay. Rinse and repeat. I would loose chain when I had to wait for the divine seal timer to finish ticking and I had to use my MP to cure myself, then heal again, but that's about it. Pretty easy going for frequent chain 2's on VT mobs. The Gob leeches con VT at 33 as well. I imagine that I'll continue to do this until level 35. ...and then I'm just gonna /leave. I'll take the 200 exp points per and 200+ on the chains any day while I wait for leave vs. having a hard time chaining things and loosing charm on a regular basis.

As a side note, I only linked twice. Once when I pulled a leech too close to other leeches in the area and again when I couldn't /heal fast enough to stop casting as a Goblin Trader turned toward his pet.

Special thanks goes out to Lilith of Kujata: Lilith was kind enough to drop me an R1 when I warped in dead, just outside the Mog house in Lower Jeuno. Thanks again. ....I can only imagine what that would have looked like....

EDIT~~ This is a good camp all the way up to lvl 35, at which time, some of the leeches start conning EM. I found that the greater majority of them conned that way. There were a few T's and even one IT....but that was it. Time to change camps and tactics.
