Yet another idea... Beastmaster/Bard

Okay, okay... probably another idea that has a shortcoming I can't see. :p

Anyway, with the subjob Bard not only do I get a slight CHR boost, but I can also cast (chant, sing... whatever.) Etude of Fascination, which let's m get a CHR boost as well.

I know Beastmasters arn't that great... but with Summon Stones, and the Bard subclass/song, I think it may be at least a passable class to play.

Anyway, any thoughts? I'm sure there's something like not being able to capture/use pets while I'm singing, and the song effect stops when I quit singing... but to know, anyway.

I actually had a similar idea, but mine was to have a bard/BST. it wouldve been good a while ago, but now if you sub BST its much harder to tame good monsters. see, you need to have bard be your primary class because without musical weapons bards are weak. thats why Bard is so bad a sub. Im not sure exactly how the stones work, but if they let you recall monsters at your lvl then Bard/BST could be good.

Sorry, it's a good premise, and if /BRD wasn't so sucky it would probably be very worth it. :sweat:

Beastmaster/Bard is very common in Ultima Online. In UO, Tamer Bard is the only class who is able to solo the hardest monster in game. This class is the most powerful and richest class in UO until they decided to nerf this class.

Thought of this combi b4. BST's basic charm is good enuff. So no need additional. U really need to sub a healing job,whm or rdm. Remember u are handling a stronger enemy alone. Most of the time pet is suppose to take the hits, but in some cases, due to 'no pets conditions' or 'higher hate than pet', BST get 1-2 hits and ur hp will be in the red. So u really need to heal fast.

Fyi, BST is overpowered.

Well if your Beast goes untamed you can always put it to sleep with your /bard sub job.
