I'm, once again, returning to FFXI due to multiple things (mainly noticing i still had the program on my computer and finding out that BST was updated) , so I have to ask: How's BST at the end game?

I'm really curious because one of the things I kept hearing was gloom and doom about how bsts are worthless, and I have to wonder if that's changed (as posts on the subject a year+ old), especially with recent updates. May be to soon to tell, but I thought I'd ask. Unfortunately I got kind of hyped up and already renewed my account, but I figure I might as well ask so I know if I shouldn't bother. :<

If you need more specifics on what I'm asking: I wanna know if Bsts can really go with parties on anything these days, whether that be merit, assault, missions...Anything.

Well, I haven't played Bst much recently.... But I can tell you, I've used Bst for just about everything. Assaults, missions, merits, sky, you name it. lol

Lol, the birds from the main island kick some serious ass on the gods you can get them up to (I think the only one you can't take one to is Byakko, at least without help).

I used to pull Zip most of the time because 1. I could do it invisible the whole time and 2. widescan helped lol

I've kited Genbu and actually back up tanked Suzaku when our tank went down. "Suzaku is intimidated by Manwe's presence." That made my night. XD

So, in short, yes. Bst can do anything we damn well please. >:D

I'm in Beastmastershell.

Its not the most active LS but fairly good and still expanding.

You can talk to me in game to get a pearl, but I'm not on much this month due to vacation, but you can also talk to Vanna, Cummy, Miaku, Vashxx, Zippie, or Native as some of the people (there's more, and most people if not all have sacks so we can hook you up with a pearl).

After talking to several people in game, it's looking like I am going to need another job in order to do much of anything in endgame. Everyone has said its a very useful job to have around, but also say that most decent LSs wont even consider your application if your only 75 job is BST. Since I'm nearing up on 75 at a fairly decent pace...can someone tell me if I'm actualy able to do much in endgame? Or should a cave in and go lvl blm, rdm or a brd just to be able to experiance endgame events?
