The Hellmine is intimidated
Was EXPing on Hellmines again (would go to Ule Range last week if Windy controlled the region so I could OP back). Last night, before I called it an evening, I had released my pet to kill the bomb.

The Hellmine suddenly was intimidated by my presence.

First time in like four levels I had seen this. Aren't bomb Archane? Wouldn't they be intimidated by DRK and not BST?

Re: The Hellmine is intimidated
Were you, by any chance, eating either Jack-o'-Lanterns or Acorn Cookies? Both of those foods will grant you the Arcana Killer effect if you don't normally have it. That's about the only possibility I can think of, anyway

Re: The Hellmine is intimidated
Well, I've been wearing the Tamer's Ring for a few levels now, just got to wear my AF jackcoat, still a small ways off from wearing the AF pants. There's really nothing else that's noteworthy or special. I have Melody earrings, but I know those are BRD song latent.

AF Pants Enhance: Killer Effects don't only strengthen your own Killer Effects it also gives you a base change to intimidate any mob in in the game (albeit low). So were you wearing your AF pants at the particular time (same as Tatami Shield gives you all Killer Effects as well as enhance the once you have).

Edit: Nevermind just saw that you didn't have AF Pants yet. Tamer's Ring however work in the exact same way, so there is your answer.

Keep in mind, sig might be outdated I just update it a few times per week.
Signature with the usual levels and obtained stuff etc. . .

Re: The Hellmine is intimidated
Tatami shield would..., but you can't equip it yet...
That's weird.
I wonder what's making it intimidate...

Re: The Hellmine is intimidated
It sounds like Tamer's Ring. It's like General's Shield giving Beast Killer effect to PLDs. If you don't have the specific Killer trait already, the item effectively grants it to you.

Re: The Hellmine is intimidated
I dunno its strage, But i have had it happen myself on hellmines as well. I dont think are gear was exactly the same, but id imagine most of it was. Theres a few ideas i came up with this.

For me my pet was a beetle. Supposedly beetles are catagorized as DRK job. So this maybe where my intimidated come from. An just maybe that pressence lasts in the mobs mind til we die or it dies..

Maybe the Tamers ring +3 to effects might have added arcane effect to you. Was your tp an hp at the required amount? Cause its suppose to work like this bird effect is at 5 from the Jt, that measn when your ring is triggered u now have 8. So its also said for those effects we dont have it gives us automatically 3. So before the ring is triggered we have arcane +0. when the ring is triggered its arcane +3..

Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.
